Nielsen says #BarryMorphew never remembered what he threw away because it was just junk in his truck. One of which investigators found to be a tree pot similar to ones purchased at a nursery in Salida. @KKTV11News

Nielsen says to Grusing: Your theory is that #BarryMorphew drove to Broomfield to dispose of evidence from a murder. Grusing says "yes" Nielsen fires back saying, "you think he did this in plain daylight, plain sight with surveillance cameras?" @KKTV11News

Nielsen is showing that #BarryMorphew was in his truck when he made numerous calls on Sunday, May 10 in Broomfield. The state is saying that his phone could still be synced to his truck when he isn't in the truck like when he was inside his hotel room & truck parked nearby.

I'm in Salida at the preliminary hearing for Barry Morphew, who is charged with the murder of his wife, Suzanne Morphew. This is the third day of the hearing. His defense attorney is trying to pick apart FBI testimony that BM made 5 "trash runs" the day of wife's disappearance.

Now talking about calls made from #BarryMorphew truck to several people- Mallory, #SuzanneMorphew, and Martin Riter. Prosecution asks if it's possible for Barry's bluetooth to pick up without being in his truck. Grusing says yes.

Fifth stop came after Barry had gone to his worksite, Nielsen says. He is seen slowly walking across a parking lot at a Holiday Inn past several visible surveillance cameras & signs about them. Enhanced photos show he threw out some items including a plastic tree pot.

The tree pot was thrown away AFTER Barry had been at the Broomfield worksite? Ugh.

When Judge Murphy accounted for the time, the defense was already way over based on the number of witnesses called. I feel like this is adding to the previous total. They had two weeks off to prep their continued cross on Grusing, and now will eat a ton more time on him. Just running out the clock. Anyone want to bet how many additional witnesses we hear from today?

They're going over calls Barry made from his car and comparing Cellebrite PDF report to BERLA (records car data). His phone could have synced with his car if he was in a hotel and close enough to the vehicle, defense says.
