Prosecution is asking Cahill to explain what a DNA match from the CODIS database means to him. Cahill testifies that it means law enforcement needs to treat it as an investigative lead

Does anyone know when the judge informs if case will or will not go to trial? Is it decided immediately after today’s hearing or later?

Thanks for any info.
Should be today. Normally there is no delay. But it's up to the judge.

IMO, it will be as soon as the defense wraps up with this witness (supposed to be the last one).

I keep forgetting one important thing - we are only seeing the reporter's tweets - which can't possibly capture every detail of this testimony. I fully expect him to go to trial - the question I have is regarding bond. Will he get bond? If so, will it be cash or a combination?
IMO
I hope like crazy that Judge Murphy sees him as a danger and a flight risk and denies bond. I don't know though, anything is possible in this circus.

Cahill says a forensic scientist told him in December that the glove box sample had "limited genetic data." Cahill says he didn't clarify with the scientist what that means.

Once the defense wraps up that is it? No closing statements from both sides?

State is asking Agent Cahill questions about how he interprets DNA testing reports.
Eytan has objected about 10 times. Beyond the scope, witness is not an expert, leading.
Barry sits back in chair and crosses leg over lap.

Cross to Eytan, “Thank you judge. Now I know what I’m doing”

It's not an exterior door that was damaged, I don't think. (I feel confident LE would have noticed such as "attempted unlawful entry".

As I understood it, it was the interior door to the master bedroom that was broken in, with damage to either the door itself or to the jamb.

MOO
I assumed the jamb running from the floor to ceiling was cracked where the door handle and lock would be. from the language used "crack in the door frame" but that is whatever Twitterer's use of words so hard to tell.

We already have a zoo,not sure that we have the resources to maintain a circus as well.

This piece really puzzles me I don't believe she would leave all those things in car even if she were at the house. She would be constantly running in and out to grab things out of her purse. I don't buy it. I think at some point they did go somewhere in the RR I think that was the vehicle that was used IMO.
My purse and wallet live in my car. Either in the driveway or in the garage. I live in a fairly secluded area like she did. So I see it differently.
Regardless, the items she would have had, had she gone for a ride were at her house, some in the car, others in her bd. So either way, it is proof that she never went for a ride and that the bike was staged.

BD should have been BF (boyfriend). We use initials in order not to type out full names, but SD has been mentioned and should be in the list of initials prepared by @OldCop. She's the only non-lawyer and non-relative who is on Barry's jail visitor list (and is female).

H stands for one of the Holly's (this is one that came from Indiana to speak to Barry; I can't recall her last initial).
This list was put together by @steeltowngirl. Everyone can find it on the Media, Maps, and Timeline thread which link is posted on the first page of each of SM’s threads.

Iris Eytan is now at the podium for redirect.

According to the forensic scientist report, there was an unknown male DNA on the seat of #SuzanneMorphew bike. Eytan asked if Agent Cahill LE knew if there were individuals that had matches to the DNA if he would have a swab sample done. He said yes.

Lauren S is summarizing yesterday's PH, and says that testimony was given stating that Suzanne did not have an ATM card?? When asked how she got money, Barry told investigators that "I am the ATM, I dispense the money."

Wow.

Anyway - to those of you wondering why there's a PH, it's because the defendant gets to hear the over outline of the evidence against him, presented in public, at an actual court hearing, with lawyers present to have their one and only chance of asking questions of the investigators.

I've never seen one where the defense was given so much time, but this is an unusual case. I've also never seen such a short one, when there is apparently so much evidence. Paul Flores's PH in California is going into its 4th week (at least), with several continuances/breaks and no set time for it to be over...

I didn't realize Judge Murphy's spent 20 years as a Deputy State Public Defender for 20 years prior to his appointment as District Court judge.
