We really need the AA to get a grasp on this.

That live shell in the bedroom means something, but I don’t have a clue what that is.

The 22 also means something, but I don’t know what that is either.

Barry says he shot deer recently with the dart gun (different from the 22), but the initial investigator said it didn’t look like it could fire.

So I don’t know what the hell is going on.
Could Barry have disabled the dart gun somehow after he used it on his wife?

He may have said that knowing he it did not fire and to detract attention from other theories, or he may have had two dart guns.

Could he have had two dart guns and disposed of one?

Y’all still don’t understand why the AA was sealed?

16 when her Mom disappeared.
13 or 14 when they moved to Colorado.

In a redirect, DA Jeff Lindsey questioned if Macy, one of Suzanne’s daughters, knew that her mother was going to leave Barry. In texts to Sheila, Suzanne wrote that Macy suggested that they could move to Salida and get jobs and even suggested a restraining order.

“Macy assured me it would be find,” the texts reportedly stated. “Why don’t you do it without telling him,” Macy allegedly wrote, and, at one point, got so fired up she told Barry to leave Suzanne alone.

Nielsen objected, saying Suzanne lied to Sheila on several occasions and that this was Suzanne’s interpretation not coming directly from Macy.

The hearing moved on to the issue of Barry striking Suzanne. Grusing says there was such an incident, but that Barry said it was an accident where he apparently clipped the side of her nose with his hand.
the strike on the nose was an accident....just like the scratches on the arm.....another accident.
Barry's position in all of this can be summed up this way: "I am a pathological liar. And I am being totally honest about that....So you need to give me the benefit of the doubt, based upon my honesty".

It is not too late.

Sadly, even if Suzanne's remains (skeleton) are found, I doubt they will yield much incriminating evidence as regards her husband, Barry Morphew. It would of course help the case in terms of establishing death, but I doubt there's much to show cause of death (I of course fervently hope that I am wrong about that last part).
finding her remains basically eliminates Gone Girl...and the closer in proximity SM's remains are to PP, the less SODDI can be viable.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

Wasn’t Sm the one suspicious that BM was fooling around? While she was the one fooling around?

That said, in no way do I think anyone should be killed for having sex with a consenting adult. But flipping around the facts makes no sense to me.

I am starting to think that BM's killing animals' escalation heralded him killing a human. I was laughing at the attempts to connect him to other murders in Indiana, but I wonder if he was growing murderous.

It is a hard thing to discuss, because I am not against hunting; my grandfather was a hunter, I am not a vegetarian, and here many people provide for their families this way. So in general, I don't mind. But cutting off deers antlers (that has to be done by deer farmers and not just anyone living on this earth), plus this taxidermy, plus hunting animals from his house, to me signals escalation. Sooner or later, he would have killed a human. And here was his beautiful wife, who had fallen out of love with him, and loved someone else. He probably wanted to kill her lover, but as a coward, he was afraid of killing a person from another community and a different state. His own wife, easily, and to lawyer up. His daughters, who needed a mother, he didn't think much of.

MG, who worked with BM and moved out of state for fear of him, probably knew what she was doing.

I’m humored by some of the poetic justice here:

The betrayal Barry felt from agent Grusing, as compared to the betrayal Suzanne would have felt in regard to Barry in her final moments.

The hope that Barry had that he was walking out of court today, compared to the hope Suzanne had for a fresh start.

Devastating betrayal and the crushing of dreams.

"Crushing by Grushing" is poetic justice indeed.

In your opinion do you think there will be evidence of BM's infidelity? I thought SO and MM (sister) would definitely be called during the PH. I also find it virtually impossible that he was a faithful husband. I think there is some infidelity that if brought to light may have his family turn on him. IMO but I think there far more happening in that arena.

What do you think??
What were your thoughts after the conclusion today?
Barry made the statement very emphatically "I've never had an affair"....If that can be refuted at trial...it would, IMO, be a gamechanger for a jury for two reasons: It takes the bite out of Suzanne's affair which the defense is beating like a dead horse...and secondly, it goes directly to Barry's credibility. "If he lied about that...what else did he lie about"? Jurys need to decide how credible a witness is in a circumstantial case like this one. So I think it is very important to verify whether Barry had an affair or not.

I think the most damning piece of evidence the prosecution has is the scratch marks on the arm. Their existence, and the timeframe in which they existed is key. If Barry wore a tee shirt to the job site on Saturday am....MG can attest to whether or not she noticed anything on his arm. Even if she didn't...the showed up within the time frame where Suzanne was supposed to have been alive. That evidence supports the "struggle scenario" about as well as anything else...followed by an O Solo Meo steak dinner.

Thank you mass guy for crediting NoSi! She is awesome. I kinda felt it was because Lauren didn’t arrive on time and I was hoping it wasn’t NoSi who had to make accommodations for someone arriving late. But turns out I was wrong. Thank you NoSi for being so generous! Glad Lauren got in.

Yes; I personally don't always follow Lauren specifically, but her role is very important. I understand that professionals working the case might be exhausted and late, it has been a long ordeal. But for NoSi to give up her place was pure human generosity, I view it as selfless, kind, and admirable.

Very perceptive & persuasive. Maybe he had killed a human before SM?

I agree about the daughters. Just pawns in his narcissistic way of life. JMO

What is the charge of tampering with a deceased human body? Does it mean alteration or can it also refer solely to the disposal of a body?

Imagine you know little about this case and you catch this report on your local Denver news station. Ugh.
The Defense’s B.S. about “ 3 unknown men” . And saying the CBI Agent didn’t follow up on it without telling the details that he was off on Military assignment and his name just happened to be the LE contact on the follow up. They DID follow up on it. Typical Defense strategy but I hate reporting like this that furthers it.

It can mean as 'little' as moving or hiding the body, to as much as degrading the body.

(1) A person commits tampering with a deceased human body if, believing that an official proceeding is pending, in progress, or about to be instituted and acting without legal right or authority, the person willfully destroys, mutilates, conceals, removes, or alters a human body, part of a human body, or human remains with intent to impair its or their appearance or availability in the official proceedings.

(2) Tampering with a deceased human body is a class 3 felony.

Judge Murphy- I understand but I would rather make the decision correctly...I’m going to have to put quite a bit of effort laying out the evidence so I can explain my decision. I am not able to do that today. I am not a robot. Let’s work on making a date for the next hearing...

Reading Judge Murphy's above quoted statement when he says "I'm going to have to put quite a bit of effort laying out the evidence so I can explain my decision" I take that to mean that he has already made his decision, but needs to carefully summarise it in the legal sense.

I would have expected him to say that he needs to take time to 'make his decision" rather than 'explain'.

So assuming that he has already made his decision, but just taking the time to cross and dot his T's and I's, it would point to Barry being held over for trial. Because, if he wasn't going to hold him over for trial, I would assume that it would be unethical for him to not release BM immediately.

Maybe that's wishful thinking but I personally feel that BM will not be going home on 17 September.

Hope you don’t mind Nosi, but you deserve credit for this.

The only reason Lauren was in the courtroom today was because @NoSI graciously gave up her spot, as Lauren wasn’t credentialed for today.

Fortunately, she was able to make it to the fairgrounds. If you read the responses, a lot of people were very grateful for that.

Close call... but I am in the courtroom thanks to a certain someone who gave up her seat for me... you know who you are! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I knew it, I posted it was probably NoSI right after Lauren's tweet. :) @NoSI you are a wonderful and gracious person. Thank you so much.

I think this makes very good sense.

I have my thoughts regarding ATM Barry. I’ve been trying to be quiet about it but my absolute ever first original thought about loyalty by certain members of the family was $$$$$$$$$. What would happen if that was gone? What would happen to those who knew only one type of lifestyle? No vacations, no Nike Air Force ones custom made, no Louis Vuitton’s , no 100 bathing suits, no range rovers. What happens then ??
Reality???
