Surely she would have wanted her camel back in the house so she could fill it with fresh water before she went out.

Unless she was intending to go for a ride that afternoon and she had already filled it and usually she would drive there so having her items in the car might mean she was going or had already went for the day and didn't remove the camelback yet. :(

I believe it was determined that the vehicle and other items in that photo were from before the Morphews bought the place. MOO
It can't believe it is going to be 19 more days before any new info. It reminds me of the Carly Simon song. Anticipation. IMO

If JL heard or witnessed BM blowing through the MB door, that may be in the AA.
That potential testimony of JL may be one of the reasons the State is so certain of their case against BM.
Please let JL ultimately "save the day."

In the meantime he is a mouse...not a man...IMO.

Justice is on the way, Suzanne. RIP.

IIRC LE didn't become aware of JL until November. So if he saw/heard something that day and then didn't hear from SM ever again and he STILL didn't come forward, then the most polite term I can come up with for him is eunuch.

Thanks

Would have liked to see the garage when the Morphews owned the home, very odd to not include images of certain areas of the home, unless BM didn't want certain people seeing them who could identify differences

I am STUNNED by the number of people who are taking Barry's "clipped her" comment at face value.

Clearly they have been blessed to never have been a victim of domestic abuse or had a close friend or family member who was/is.

If he openly admitted to clipping her on one occasion, he beat the hell out of her on others. Abusers only admit to little things, to try to deflect the big things. From the state of the MBR door frame, he physically assaulted her on more than one occasion.

Controlled abusers are the worst, they're experts at not leaving marks and deflecting.

Barry is VERY controlled.

We have to start talking about domestic abuse openly. It's not always about violence. Honestly, the gaslighting and mental abuse are way more damaging than physical abuse.

My therapist once told me the mental abuse can be much more damaging because it's hard to get people to understand that there is abuse. It's harder for the person to realize they are being abused and not just dealing with a mean person or a personality issue. There is no physical evidence and the manipulative one convinces others they are amazing and leaves the victim feeling like it's them or their fault or not knowing if they are crazy or the person is really up and down. It changes how you function on many levels and then when you do get help (if you ever do) you don't know what is really you and what has been a result of the abuse. Unpacking all that can be very difficult. When you can walk in and say he hit me, he pushed me, he held me down there are actual events to discuss and work through. When you just feel like you can't speak or like you have had this pattern of subtle control that eroded your self confidence, you can't even figure out where to begin to heal that.

Wonder if he had that bed all made ? Looking around would absolutely be the first thing an innocent person would do.

He makes my blood boil

Did anyone else catch this? With all of their many many complaints about Discovery, don’t the same rules apply to the Defense?
@Alethea Does this video qualify as work product and that’s why they didn’t have to disclose it prior to the Preliminary Hearing?

https://twitter.com/laurenscharftv/status/1424759904540237829?s=21

A video on Google Maps made by the defense team is shown of where the helmet was found. The state says they haven't seen this and wished to see it in private before showing it to the courtroom but the judge said we don't have time.

Just saw this now and someone may have already answered it, but the defense does not have an obligation to turn over exhibits to the prosecution. Since the defense attorneys made it, it's not "evidence."

Supreme Court precedent requires the prosecution to turn over all evidence, particularly exculpatory evidence, to the defense. Failure to do so can result in a conviction being thrown out. It's usually called the Brady rule or Brady evidence from the Supreme Court case that established the rule, Brady v. Maryland.

So, we were watching a movie "Abduction" when the star of the movie receives a phone call. He is told that "the amazing thing about cell phones is that they can become listening devices."

FlexiSPY™ Features | Spy on a Phone’s Surroundings

Every word either party on the call can be listened to and downloaded. Did Barry have two phones so he could spy with one of them?

thanks. the issue is"they", meaning the company that provides this service, also have a copy of any conversation. who would want that? people who think it benefits themselves by spying on whomever are basically allowing the service provider to spy on their lives. my advice, it's a trap, stay away. MOO.

I did make a legal mistake. I thought that the prosecution could request a change of venue. I'm not sure if that is true.
But is it true , that the State could request a closed Grand Jury in Denver or Colorado Springs and skip the Preliminary Hearing?
If the presented case does not bind over for trial? IMO

We know he stayed quiet to cover his own butt and save his marriage and pretend the affair didn’t happen. He probably thought they would never find him.

But what I want to know is what did he think happened to Suzanne? Did he think she ran away? Did he think she just decided to stay with Barry? Did he think she was dead?

Once the news came out he must have suspected that Barry murdered her. Maybe he figured he was next. Out of sight out of mind.

I wonder when he found out she was considered missing? I can see if she didn't contact him for a day or two maybe he thought she needed to lay low but she'd proven she was quite creative in finding ways to contact him so after a few days he had to have thought something wasn't right!

From what I recall of the PP pictures, the ground level windows were spacious. If SM was in a first floor bedroom, Barry may have decided not to break the door down to get to Suzanne in the bedroom. Possibly he came in through a window. That could explain the phenomenon of data showing he was moving through walls.
Great thought!

Discredit Preemptively?
@Megnut bbm sbm for focus. :) Thank you very much for your post, as I had not thought about it this way. Still not convinced about exact series of events, but if BM did bust thru bedroom door, your post makes sense.

Devil's Advocate enters the chat.
But is it possible, SM's device was still connected, and JL did see or hear door bust? Later told LE?
If so, is it possible LE included his stmt in AA?
If so, is it possible prosecutor did not present at PH. No reason for def team to raise it at PH imo.
If so, is it possible prosecutor decided to hold back for trial? A smoking gun?

If so, it is possible that at PH def team brought out tech cell evd about BM "running thru walls" at 40 mph etc, to preemptively discredit JL's stmt /testimony they anticipate prosecutor introducing at trial? A possibility?

Not saying this happened & conceding, sometimes I go way out there w possibilities. Sometimes waaaaaaaaay out there. :D Still a sleuther can dream.:D

Very well stated @justtrish So sorry for what you and so many others here on WS have been through. Your words alone speak volumes of why the general public has a difficult time discussing DV, let alone someone who’s trying to recover from it. MOO

Someone enduring domestic abuse does not always get slapped around leaving bruises or knocked around leaving swollen knots or pushed down causing scrapes. Not all of us had black eyes like Nicole Brown Simpson.

However, damage comes in many forms. I will have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for the rest of my life because my psyche was damaged by the Classic Double Bind that Control Freaks use. There are still flashbacks. I am damaged by the marks he left in my mind and the scars left upon my heart.

Like Suzanne, I stayed for my DD's sake. Like Suzanne, my x put a Glock to his head. Like Suzanne, I would have lived in a shack for he was surely killing me. The only difference is that a bullet would have been quicker.

Sadly, I think the only person JL cares about is JL.

I think he was scared <modsnip>. Two fold. He was scared for Suzanne but I don’t think he thought BM would kill her and once she disappeared he became more scared for himself. I think once he started to learn she was missing he thought he was next. That’s when he started deleting all his correspondences. Got scared out of his mind. Clammed up and went ghost. He was cowering in a corner scared for his life.

I’d love to admonish him for not coming forward but I think he was petrified of BM especially after learning he disappeared his wife. He knew a whole lot more about the abuse that she faced than we ever will.

If he wasn't, he should have been. UG IMO.
