Whoa.. I need to watch the PE video. Thanks Girl for this info. I have already started down the rabbit hole of looking at Federal murder charges. It would seem to be a stretch, but could the voter fraud charge factor in?

Further, murder is a federal crime if it violates federal law or happens while violating federal law.

Sometimes whether or not murder is a federal crime has to do with where it happened. Murders on federal property, for instance, are treated as federal crimes.

There are numerous separate offenses that are prosecuted at the federal level, including crimes such as mail fraud, arson, forgery, and bank robbery.

Committing murder in relation to any one of these automatically makes that murder an additional federal offense.

Could it be they have evidence of him committing a crime on federal lands?

That would make the most sense. I was wondering if he thought he could come up with some kind of story for his defense, like Jodi Arias did, hoping to get a lesser charge.

After hearing the chipmunk shooting story along with many of the other things he's said I wouldn't be surprised.
I’m not sure which one is my favorite. The “I’m done” meaning “my coffee” or him checking to see if the “Elk were shedding their antlers”.

It’s a report put together by a specialized FBI team. It seems the defense cherrypicked a couple pieces of data, without providing the context and conclusion.

So the FBI said there were two pieces of activity, and the defense used that to claim Suzanne’s phone made and received phone calls. The FBI agent on the stand ultimately shot that conclusion down.

A herd of male and female elk, that don’t even travel in herds that time of year.

Agree.
Good post.
That is why I feel the watershed moment was when BM answered SMs wish that he be home more or be more predictable with joining the VFF.
Adding approximately 5-10 hours a week to train and more to bond pretty much was the opposite of what she was asking of him.

The gym and the VFF gave him excuses to be away from home. I have been trying to tally up how much we know about Barry's actual job contracts. I figure the freeway/walking path wall paid really well (compared to most jobs) but then he had to fix it for free. He had the Tradewinds/Poncha Springs Condo job (but may have taken that out in trade by living at the condos - not sure how long he had access to that place, it's possible he had the keys before Suzanne disappeared, as he apparently had clinched that deal). There's one other job mentioned in MSM, but I don't remember what it was.

So yes, he's not spending time with Suzanne. I wonder when he stopped loving her (or if he ever loved her - she might have been a trophy). She was unlikely to come into any more money, perhaps he had just chomped down on the bullet to endure her until the money was gone. It's very sad to think about. OTOH, it explains why she felt unloved (she was and no amount of time together could fix that) and then...this JL person seems to have cared about her - at least a little

When she first disappeared, I looked up how many larger fire incident reports that Chaffee County Stations (all of them together) had had in the past year, and it was something like 7 - all of them small grass fires, all of them put out on the same day as they started, none of them requiring a general call-out.

So while Barry was a volunteer fireman, he didn't have a lot of opportunity to be called on in an actual emergency of that type (but was trained to think about emergencies). He got to talk to a lot of other people who liked to hash over accidents and incidents and forensics. He may have had access to the fire camp (not sure if that gate is actually locked by padlock or not) and would have known fire roads in the area.

He knew BM had supicions at the very least. Any lover would minimize the damage by not texting if the phone seemed to be in the wrong hands. He thought "she'll call me when the coast is clear." Just a guess.
I feel certain that JL knew of Barry's controlling and volatile temperament. After not hearing from Suzanne, he may have resorted to internet searches just to see if he could find any news about her. That's what I would do.

JMO.

I would never leave my bag in the car. During Covid especially I needed my credit cards in the house, then again I live in suburban NY. I would never leave my bag in a car, no matter where I lived.
You can't go to any medical appointment without your insurance card, every single time, and I doubt that's different in CO.
Her appointment was for the 11th. Monday, after her death.
I believe her coffee visit with her neighbor was on Friday (any help here?) but might've been Saturday.
We don't know how close she was with her neighbor but I doubt this was their first coffee clutch so maybe she was a motherly-type figure in her life who she may have confided in.

I've lived in places with no close neighbors and a garage that locked down tight (remember, the purse was in the car, which was in the garage, which is where the safe - and Barry's cameras - are). I still leave a copy of my insurance card and my actual AAA card and car insurance card...in my car where I live now, where it sits in the driveway. We have a camera aimed at our cars...

At any rate, when I lived in a more rural area, I did leave my purse in the car because I trusted the locking garage door. Lots of us keep our credit card info on our phones, and I doubt Suzanne would have to show her insurance card each time she went for chemo, as they knew here. I never have to show my cards to any of my providers, unless it's a brand new doctor.

That being said, I didn't leave my most expensive purse in the car! But I've definitely got a ton of stuff in my car (sunglasses, reading glasses, sunscreen) and often only take my keys (which have my DL attached to them) when I have to go somewhere. My car is my purse?

I'm with you on viewing Suzanne's relationship with the neighbors as a true friendship.

For those who watched Linda Stanley's interview with PE, what do you think about her talking about Federal charges? Was that just general talk or was she telegraphing something about this case?

I think the subject of Federal charges only came up because Stanley was responding to the question about "double jeopardy" and wanted it to be clear that double jeopardy would only attach to the State of Colorado and not Federal Law. I don't think there was any hidden message there.

I can't think of any Federal violations related to this case except the possibility of a federal gun violation if BM transported his illegal gun from Indiana to Colorado. Also, there's been much suspicion about BM's business activities and alleged unreported income -- I think any evidence of unreported income could also result in federal charges. MOO

Would the fraudulent vote be a federal charge?

Hi All, I feel very guilty. Haven't started on notes. I will really, really, REALLY try to get at least 1 day done today. It's been on my mind constantly, but something always comes up... I will go to Starbucks on my way home, shut my phone off, and type...;)

In my tiny town the VFF also responds to things like traffic accidents, unless/until it is known that an ambulance is needed. Do you think the stats you saw included those types of calls? Or maybe the VFF there doesn't take those kinds of calls?

You've done so much, reporting from the PH and typing notes . . . please don't stress out over this.

We know you'll get to it soon!

And, thanks again for all of your efforts!

Please do not feel guilty or push yourself to finish writing them up.
We still have 17 days before the judge announces his decision.

We have plenty of time to discuss things from your notes.

I am just so grateful you spent the time and effort to go for all 4 days.

Thank you, @Skigh! I appreciate it. The state of the world has me a bit paralyzed as well. I plan to go back up for final round of preliminary. This better go the right way...

Thank you so much, @crhedBngr! I appreciate it. I just need to get it done for my own good. I feel this urgency until it is done (with pretty much everything)...

Totally understand how you are feeling ,I am feeling the same way about what is happening in our world at the moment.
Take it easy and rest ,do not attempt to push yourself to write up your notes .xx
