I agree. The prosecution absolutely has to be able to explain why the DNA means nothing, or at a minimum be able to explain why they discounted the DNA otherwise it means something LOL.
Or, conversely, the defense must be able to explain why the DNA is either pertinent or impertinent to their case, LOL.

@NoSI
We are beyond blessed to have you there and boots on the ground. Thanks so much. Please take care of @NoSI.

I got my DNA untwisted every which way but sideways. I have like 6000 2-4 , 5 ,6 , cousins. I don't know a single one. It's a precarious partial match. IMO

I wonder if those "love letters" were journal pages. They didn't read like love letters more like an accounting of memories of the past.
And more likely accounting of what was going on until he murdered her. Why else would he destroy them?

I genuinely look forward to that. I do think they’ll wind up going with a “gone girl defense,” though.

I look forward to them explaining how Suzanne was able to travel internationally during Covid, especially without an ID.

I also can’t wait for them to explain how she forced BM to tell lie after lie.

Yes, all of that too.
The whole reason they brought up the affair was to make her out a liar, a liar and cheater. Therefore, anything she said in texts to her sister and BFF (especially as she hadn't divulged this TORRID affair of seeing someone 5-6 times over the course of 18 months) mean absolutely nothing. SHE A LIAR! Her daughter didn't advise her to get a divorce and GET A RESTRAINING ORDER. See? Barry WASN'T ABUSIVE! See? There were no arguments over MONEY! See?
Maybe JL KILLED HER (despite a solid alibi)! See? Maybe she was LYING about seeing OTHER MEN! See?
The DNA? It's almost funny.
They'll try to choose the most unintelligent jury they can. HS education, if that. Men who are like BM. Macho, religious and conservative. Women, also religious and conservative, who've likely experienced a cheating spouse/boyfriend and view Suzanne as the other woman with a large "A" embroidered on her sweater.
Just look around. No shortage of judgemental people around this place despite the abuse and control she endured for 30 years.

The defense is grasping at straws. They got nothin'. No defense whatsoever.
IMO

Here is way the DNA does not work.
We have all heard lately , that we have like 2.3% Neanderthal's DNA.
That does not mean, to say a large family unit has the same 2.3% NDNA.
If you isolate all of the differences in the family group and add them together, It might
be 4.6 total NDNA. Our Last Neanderthals Ancestors DNA legacy.
IMO

Quoting you again because I don't think they can go with a 'gone girl' defense for the reasons you state and more.
HE was her ATM, proudly. I know he tried to say she took - what was it - 40 or 60K?
He has no proof of that and I don't believe for a second he had that in his safe to begin with. Didn't he have outstanding tax bills when she 'disappeared'?
Couldn't pay the government back until sales he made because Suzanne was declared incapacitated. It doesn't make sense that he'd have that much cash at hand with overdue property taxes.
Who's the liar now?
You were right a long time ago, MG. His lies are going to testify against him. I can't wait.

It would be interesting to read a study done on jury feedback following a murder trial from various cases (I'm fine with the specific cases not even being mentioned). What caused them to find someone guilty or not guilty. What gave them pause, confused them, did they feel like they needed to become DNA & device data experts to understand testimony, what made them confident the defendant was guilty, etc. IMO

In the Derek Chauvin trial, a juror said that the absolute clear and well-explained testimony from the expert who debunked the defense reasons why George Floyd's heart stopped was pivotal in their guilty decision.

ONE OF the jurors in the murder trial of disgraced former policeman Derek Chauvin has cited the testimony of Irish doctor Dr Martin Tobin as being crucial in swaying the jury towards a guilty verdict.

According to Brandon Mitchell, who served as juror number 52 during the trial, the case was “done” once they had heard Dr Tobin’s testimony.

"I think Dr. Tobin was the biggest, the most influential witness out of everybody," Mitchell told CBS This Morning.

"When Dr. Tobin came, with him speaking so scientifically but also making it understandable for everyone along with the exhibits that he came with, I thought he just broke it down in a manner that was easy for all the jurors to understand.

I remember a post earlier. It basically said the High School was going to do the D.A.R.E. program.
They did not do that with US. It was the Scared Straight program. Oh how times change. IMO.

Thank heavens. RIP George Floyd. My heart still breaks. <3

Yes, I think DA Jeff Lindsey said it best when he told the court that they may not have uncovered an affair but 'BM was looking' - citing dating websites in his search history. MOO
I think this too will come up at trial.

Oh, my goodness - yes. This is one of my main (usually private) theories. The way in which Barry lost muscle during his first year (and not necessarily BMI - just muscle), especially in his biceps and his neck, I have always pondered and would love to know if he is that rare 50-something with testosterone to spare OR whether he was using anabolic steroids. He would have had to stop once he came under scrutiny from everywhere, or at least move to a different gym and maybe a nearly deserted condominium complex...start beefing up again?

In which case, yeah, he wasn't having that kind of affair. Men who have higher testosterone, btw, do not automatically reap sexual benefits - kind of the opposite in man cases (and also affects hair loss).

IMO this is a possible scenario. We'll probably never know (unless...hmmm...someone in Salida knew something - someone would have to, I think).
Explains his road rage at home.
