What if the killer was on foot (like the Delphi suspect) had an angry altercation on the trail in Limbaugh Canyon with TW and his cycle, killed him (hatchet, .22) and dragged him off the trail to hide his body then rode his bike back to the trailhead at Mt Herman road and tossed it off the road to the side, not noticing the shoe had dropped off the pedal and was left by the road. His returns to the scene were checking to see if searchers had found the bike and the hatchet menacing could have been designed to scare people away from the area where the body was. Sept 14 was a Thursday and the menacing was the weekend following 16th/17th judging by the reports dated 21st Sept. This has just occurred to me that no car may have been involved at all and that could be another similarity not mentioned. Riding the bike away from the crime scene and leaving it near Mt H road makes it look like a vehicle was involved. TW's bike was found a long way from his body which is why it took them days to find him.
:cow: :cow: :moo:
I apologize in advance for not reading the whole thread. Is there a map showing where the shoe, bike and body were found?

I am not pinning anything on DN but I hold that a hatchet may very well be the weapon LE are keeping under wraps. Yes it is my opinion but I have every right to express it here as just that. Moo. Yes I could be wrong. Time will tell. I am neither hysterical nor irrational. If you have some proof of DN's innocence you should alert LE. Until we learn more, I can only surmise. It is MOO!!! I DO look forward to more info coming out so we can know at last the truth and I DO hope that ultimately justice will prevail.

<modsnip>

The fact is that he hasn't been cleared by investigators, and he has a psychological profile that indicates he's capable of one, more than one, OR none of the crimes we've discussed him in connection with. We've been made aware of no alibis whatsoever, provable or otherwise.

Time will tell. Investigators are doing their thing, and we very well may know nothing more until that bright day they charge somebody. And for the love of everything holy, they're not going to start trumpeting about what evidence they do or do not have unless giving the public those tidbits has the potential to help their investigation in some very specific manner. Do do otherwise would be irresponsible and unprofessional.

Was TW's autopsy report sealed? LE is holding info in the case close to the vest, so I wondered about the autopsy report. So far I haven't been able to locate any news mentioning it.

I can't think of any past cases where autopsy reports were released through the media to the public during an open investigation. Also autopsy reports are not considered public records in all States because of privacy concerns, although I don't know if they are in Colorado or not. But I can certainly understand why family members would not want their loved ones autopsies scrutinized and subject to speculation unless absolutely necessary, for instance when a trial occurs.

This link has a good map of trail 715 . It took me a while when I was on Mica's thread working out where this all was in relation to the Catamount area from where she disappeared.

HTH.

I apologize in advance for not reading the whole thread. Is there a map showing where the shoe, bike and body were found?
No I don't think there is. A description that the shoe was found on Mt Herman road and the bike just off the trail only. TW's body was reported as found a long way from the trail in an inaccessible area where phones don't work - I am guessing that was in the Limbaugh Canyon or Valley itself. :cow:

How did he get a long way from the trail? He helped create those trails! And why? My suspicions tell me he was chased or led. Poor man!

Just recapping what I think the charges are:

Teller
Possession of a weapon by a previous offender

El Paso
Menacing
Reckless endangerment
Trespassing
Failing to register as a SO

5 felonies altogether. I can only see them dropping the trespassing in any plea bargain because I think they have already dropped the assault charge connected with that.
What do others think? Any lawyers here?

Please forgive me for being daft and probably asking a stupid question however someone may just know the answer off the top of their head. I take it if Tim rode trails he would have a mountain bike and not a racing bike. My question is would Tim ride his mountain bike via road to the beginning of the trail or did he take his vehicle if he had one with a bike strapped to it, park then start riding the trail.

Many Thanks in Advance

He lived in Monument and set off on his bike from home from what I have read. The trail map I recently posted for Ocgrad may help.

First and foremost, to be absolutely clear, I was not seeking to locate, obtain or encourage any discussion or scrutinizing of the autopsy report. My reason for asking if it has been sealed is because of prior legal controversy in CO over that situation.

In Colorado, autopsies are public record. In cases of homicide, the report is not released without the written approval of the DA. http://cor.elpasoco.com/Pages/AutopsyReportRequest.aspx

From the FAQ section at that link: "If a law enforcement agency is investigating the death, you may obtain a copy of that report from that agency. "

Just for reference, there was quite the legal tussle over Jon Benet Ramsey's autopsy report, going as high as the CO Supreme Court.
Coroner wants autopsy secret: http://extras.denverpost.com/news/jon12.htm
Colorado High Court Orders Jonbenet Autopsy Released: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/...et-ramsey-body-about-eight-hours-patsy-ramsey

Given the JBR case, if the powers that be want TW's autopsy report sealed, they could anticipate another legal battle. So did/would they pursue it anyway and if so, why? Would it be due to CO LE not wanting to compromise their own investigation -or- because IN LE asked CO LE not to release details? If the latter, it would be rather telling if an attempt to seal records was influenced by an out-of-state or federal authority. However, no matter which jurisdiction would like to see it sealed, it would seem at most the effort would buy investigators some time as it traveled up through the court system, and the downside would be cost and resources tying it up in court. Unless, of course, there have been cases since JBR's that have changed the CO courts stance on the matter.
This is just my .02.

This is exactly how Bobby Christina Browns report was released.

Yes, I was wondering if DN would (perhaps even wish to?) cross paths with Matthew Stroker (the recently convicted killer of EL) in the El Paso jail or perhaps somewhere else in the system down the line ... ( JMO!!!!)

So is TW autopsy sealed as are DN arrest warrants?
