Ty Daey... This is a good refresher course on TW's case.

From Daey's link I was reading the link below, but can't figure out what map is being commented on regarding location of TW's body. ??

...okay...let me try this again RE: https://gearjunkie.com/tim-watkins-mountain-biker-shot-colorado?sce=post-related-link

I'm still unable to see the TW location map. Would any of you, perhaps, be able/willing to post an image of that map here?

Imo, the fourth comment is interesting.

The next Court appearance is normally your First Appearance in front of the actual District Court Judge who will handle your case through either a Sentencing Hearing or through your eventual Trial. Your first Court date in front of the felony court Judge is normally also an Appearance of Counsel date.
But if the false id is not a felony, would that still be in front of a felony judge?

From my memory there was a link within the link that showed the map. But the body location was too general Iirc. I'll have another look.
Eta. I've had a look and that article is a mine of links to other articles and information however couldnt find the map again. But if you go down to the "Singletracks reported" link in the article, pull that up and go to the comments at the bottom there is discussion that the body location on the map was wrong anyway and it was " a couple of switchbacks" up into the Limbaugh Canyon. Take another look. Everything in the article that is green can be clicked on and goes to another info source.

Idk.
Lying to police about your identity could get you accused of and charged with a felony called criminal impersonation.C.R.S. 18-5-113.

Criminal impersonation. Any person who assumes a false or fictitious identity
or capacity and in such identity or capacity does an act with intent to unlawfully
gain a benefit for himself or herself or another or to injure or defraud another
commits a class 6 felony. Using false or fictitious personal identifying
information constitutes the assumption of a false or fictitious identityor capacity.
18-5-113 (2)

I wonder if this will end up being the charge. They can up the charges, right?

Well if he was hiding his identity so that he did not have to register as a SO and could go undetected that is unlawful so could be upped to a felony perhaps. IDK we'll have to see how the lawyers deal with it. I think the judge will take a dim view tbh. I know what I think and I want to see how they deal with it. There was a lot of schools in that area too. Which reminds me, what happened to the charge concerning having a weapon near a school ground?

OMG!! I'm still tickled from reading your OtherMadGuy post from earlier today and now you come up with this post. I'm laughing all over again, but refuse to leave this thread to go google. (:

yup. And apparently they are withholding it. Makes me wonder what else is in that report other than multiple gunshots. Why else would they withhold it?
Hatchet defensive wounds?

I know what you mean by the number of links that took off from the link I provided. I clicked on a bunch of them and finally gave up as it was too long a wait (for me) for each to open. I had thought I could gain some perspective of exact locations by comparing map to comment. But, alas, I give up.

Thanks so much for trying, Shires, and a special uovwatmidk to you! (-;

Why not do a virtual tour . This may help Happy New Year https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/3504412/mount-herman-limbaugh-canyon-loop

Click the little brown button in the corner of the map.

foxbluff, this link is to a map I posted earlier, with a description and virtual tour (short) of Limbaugh trail. If you zoom in it shows Mt Herman Rd and where Mt Herman Rd and Red Rocks Dr intersect. We don't know the precise locations of where the shoe was found in the road, where the bike was found, nor where TW's body was found, but all were in this area somewhere.

Foxbluff was referring to a specific map that I remember seeing in one of the articles but it was u/s from my memory as it was a simple map large scale graphic with a blob for the location.

Could be. Just the fact that someone was running around chasing people with a hatchet and during the same time a man was shot to death, but the autopsy report is sealed (?) plus at the same time hatchet man's (DN) brother's killer was sentenced to only16 years, plus the IN LE said there were many similarities to the Delphi murders, also of which we don't have autopsy reports, yeah it could be hatchet wounds.
I also wonder about position of body, covered in leaves, possible initials or maybe other writings in blood, etc. My mind goes all over the place with what the similarities might be, but I don't think it's just one thing. This is so frightening. But at least it's (hatchet threats) no longer happening up there since DN was arrested. He hasn't been charged yet in any of the murders tho. But he is charged re the hatchet threats so at least LE feels they have their man on that! Can you imagine being chased by someone with a hatchet? OMG! That would be so scary!

Hopefully with his priors and current the judge will protect society. I sure as heck don't want anyone like him hanging around my kids school! And with a weapon to boot! Do you recall what the weapon was?

Hmm, I don't recall seeing a map like that. I thought about doing a Google Earth screenshot but the trail doesn't show up.

Thanks Reacher! I fear you guys are going to stop trying to help the ole fox out if I keep reporting back my failures...Grrh...

I was able to download the gorgeous photos of trail (I now see what"s meant by singletrack) but am disappointed to report that Virtual Tour would not work on my PC.

Again, I do appreciate your effort to help. (:
