She stated that she was scared of him, but that doesn't mean she was scared of him in actuality.

Not saying she's lying, and not saying she's hiding anything. But nothing that DN or KN has said so far seems to be panning out as true. Could be confusion, or it could be fear. It could also just be that too many questions have been asked of them.

I'm just not feeling the fear aspect. My opinion only.

They may not have anything concrete. We keep hearing that so I just don't know. Nothing seems certain in this case at all. She was scared to be in the same court room as him previously and there was a restraining order at one time.

Fear of being implicated and imprisoned along with him. If she has real evidence that can convict him it means she was there, otherwise anything she states is just her opinion. She certainly is codependent. She would be a fool not to be afraid of living in close proximity to anyone who rages. People who hack stuff up, break your nose, kick your car in, choke you, are showing you definite signs that they could kill you. But her thinking is so warped, "He was a good father"..., we cannot trust anything she says. I'm not trying to say she is a habitual liar, I think its the codependence again, but she is someone who would have to show us by her actions, not her words. In the video where are the tears and trembling someone who has been so fearful and abused would have? She is too matter of fact, at least for me. And has she taken steps to divorce him, to get a job, going to counseling? I would think that is what CPS wants to see. A reversal of the terrible things she has exposed her children to. They cannot return someone's kids who lives in a shelter with no job, transportation. And i was just reading in the Sherin Mathews case that it is very unusual for custody to be terminated to only one parent. Surely you HAVE to be divorced from a repeat offender. You know, take steps, make good choices for your children.

Yes, hearings happening now. Hopefully we learn something one way or the other...

One thing I want to mention is that TW was killed on the same day that the killer of DN's brother was sentenced to 16 years. Could have been some anger there and then he encountered or was cut up by the cyclist or vice versa.
:cow:

I don’t recall this about DN’s brother. Do you know what he was incarcerated for, and do you know if he was behind bars when Abby and Libby were murdered? TIA

It's not that weird. He's facing like 6 criminal charges. It's not so much giving him a deal as saving the prosecutor the time and money of a trial. It's much easier for them to drop some charges in exchange for guilty on others..."charge stacking."

It's more of a strategy to ensure that at least one charge sticks.

This just makes me mad. Why should he get a "deal" at all? He's had plenty of second chances already.
Hope he at least gets custodial sentence of 3+ years or it would make even more of a farce out of RL's sentence length.

Please do not let this menace out.

OK fair comment! however, I have a question not aimed at DN in particular just a general question. If a person goes to jail for one thing, whatever that may be. Can they still be investigated then arrested a 2nd time for something else they did? Whilst they are serving a sentence for something totally unrelated. I know what I mean.

Of course. LE holds people on small charges all the time while investigating more serious ones.
Not necessarily what is happening here. Perhaps DN didn't kill anyone.

But yes, it is common practice. Here is an article I remember from recently where a woman was held for a FTA (granted for a short period of time) while charges were being brought forward for murder.

With Reference to TW I read a post earlier that said his bike was found off the trail approx 20 feet up off the trail with a puncture. Is it just possible TW had a puncture and hid his own bike under leaves and twigs up a hill and made his way on foot elsewhere for assistance? It appears to me hiding a bike up off a trail instead of down off a trail is a harder to do and will take more time.

Its just a thought and MOHO

Many Thanks and agree perhaps DN didn't kill anyone. It was just a question I pondered on generally.

Thanks for the info

It was mentioned by several bikers during and aftee the search that he may have "stashed" his bike. it sounded like a common trick with bikers who have mechanical trouble and need tools or assistance.
I still have no mental picture of where this was on the trail and road compared to his body even though I have looked at a map and photos. But for a killer to kill him, hide the body, take and hide the bike, take other possessions on a trail that may be difficult to navigate whether up or down, seems like it would take longer than 5 or 10 minutes but how long? And how far is the hike back to the car? Is it uphill or down? So maybe TW had already hid the bike and was walking to get what he would need when he was assaulted.
