I just saw this pop up on True Crime Garage. I love those guys. I’m newer to this case, so I’m anxious to listen to it. Thanks!

It's a good podcast. They go into a lot of detail (some I wasn't personally aware of and have followed this case closely from beginning). Thanks to @_Hawk_ for sharing.

The final episode of Colorado Cold Case’s third season appeared online Monday, examining the legacy of an iconic Palmer Lake mountain biker’s death, and his mysterious mountainside burial.

The podcast episode, which was reported and produced by The Gazette, caps a six-episode season that explored the killing of Tim Watkins — a well-known figure in the local mountain biking scene, and someone who helped mentor multiple people to race professionally before his death two years ago.

Two years later, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been named.

According to EPSO, an autopsy determined that Watkins had been shot.

On the five year anniversary, EPSO posted a video by Detective Sergeant Kurt Smith, asking the community for their assistance and urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant the information may seem, to come forward.

5 years ago? Jeez! So sad that they've not yet arrested anyone for Tims murder.

The podcast Culpable: Case Review just released an episode covering Tim Watkins with a moving interview of his daughter.

Here is to hoping that there will be answers soon in this case.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirmed last week that this is the same Daniel Nations investigated by its detectives in 2017. That year, Nations was arrested for threatening hikers with a hatchet near Mount Herman trail in the Palmer Lake area. Detectives also questioned Nations about the shooting death of cyclist Timothy Watkins that happened that same month on Mount Herman.
