''DENVER (KDVR) — It’s been five years since 24-year-old Traivon Williams was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 15600 block of East Caspian Circle in Aurora, and police and Williams’ mother hope someone knows what happened.

Williams was found at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at an apartment complex in central Aurora. Although first responders provided medical care and Williams was rushed to a hospital, he later died of his injuries.''

Still, investigators believe there are witnesses with information about the shooting who have not yet been interviewed by police. Williams’ mother, Tabethian, released a “letter for all” that detailed how the loss of her son has impacted the entire family.
She called her son’s murderer “a coward.”
''Tabethian said she holds an annual balloon release to light up the skyline in honor of Traivon’s life.

Traivon "Trey" Williams was shot and killed at an apartment complex near East Iliff Avenue and Chambers Road on Jan. 19, 2020
