Search for Tyler Cline, missing since Sunday near Kit Carson Peak
[Officials are searching for a man who is believed to have gone missing while hiking in the area of Kit Carson Peak and Challenger Point in Saguache County over the weekend.

...a friend said Tyler Cline was planning to hike Challenger Point, a 14,081 foot peak, on Sunday. Kit Carson Peak, at 14,165 feet, is nearby. Both are part of the Crestones in the Sangre de Cristo Range.

“His car was found there today and search and rescue are doing their thing! His phone is dead or turned off but he didn’t show up for work!,” the post said.]

I looked at the historical weather radar at the Piper Air Safety Site which has a link to NOAA historicals and the range that peak is in was getting snow and periods of rain and snow all day that day. Radar Data Map | GIS Maps | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) (note: Link goes to current radar - you can adjust the date on the left of the screen. Time is in coordinated universal time at the time you open the link, just scroll back a few hours to see what the weather would have been earlier in the day.)
