Police were still searching for 24-year-old Austin J. Boutain, described as a white male with a tear drop tattoo on his face, as well as tattoos on his neck and an arm. He was last seen wearing black clothing and a beanie-style cap.

Meanwhile, University authorities on Tuesday morning identified the deceased carjacking victim as ChenWei Guo, a 23-year-old international student at the U. They would not say whether he was alone in the vehicle.

Colorado authorities have identified the man whose suspicious death is being investigated as a homicide and may be connected to a man arrested for the fatal carjacking of a University of Utah student.

City of Golden spokeswoman Karlyn Tilley identified the man as 63-year-old Mitchell Bradford Ingle.

Colorado police previously said officers found Ingle's body inside a trailer home early Tuesday after going to the home at the request of the Salt Lake City Police Department.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) &#8212; Police in Colorado said Wednesday they will seek murder charges against an ex-convict suspected of killing a man, stealing guns from his trailer, then heading to Utah with his wife and fatally shooting a student during an attempted carjacking.

Austin Boutain and his wife, Kathleen Boutain, were both named as suspects in the death of 63-year-old Mitchell Ingle, whose body was found in his trailer Tuesday, in Golden, Colorado, police spokeswoman Karlyn Tilley said in a statement.

Austin Boutain, 24, told investigators he killed Guo and then fired two rounds at Guo's friend so there would be no witnesses, according to jail booking documents.

The friend, a female University of Utah student, told police she escaped after the gunman tried to drag her up a canyon. He narrowly missed her and she called police to report the killing, University of Utah police said.

Austin Boutain Pleads Guilty to Murder in Golden RV Park

(Golden, CO – July 17, 2019) Austin Jeffrey Boutain, DOB: 10-16-93, appeared today in the Jefferson County District Court where he pled guilty to the murder of 63-year-old Mitchell Ingle in Golden in 2017. He pled guilty to First Degree Murder – After Deliberation; Aggravated Robbery; and four violent crime counts.

On October 31, 2017 Golden police were dispatched to the Clear Creek RV Park on a welfare check. They found Mitchell Ingle deceased in his RV. They also found that Mr. Ingle’s vehicle and some of his property was missing.

The investigation led to arrest warrants being issued for Austin Boutain, and his wife, Kathleen Boutain, DOB: 3-17-94, in the death of Mitchell Ingle. Both were arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 31, 2017.

Boutain was extradited from Utah and arrived at the Jefferson County jail on July 17.

Kathleen Boutain has been charged with 20 counts in the death of Mr. Ingle. Her extradition is pending.

Austin Boutain is being held without bond at the Jefferson County jail. Sentencing has been set for October 3 at 3:00. Boutain faces a minimum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
