Hi everybody, I need some help with entering a missing person. It’s for a friend of a friend and I really want to help them. And I know that ws is a huge resource that they probably don’t know about and honestly probably not worried about right now. I am very technologically simple I guess too. But I did search and he has not been posted here. I also looked at the steps and I am not quite sure how to do this on an iPad. His name is Wyatt Chayanne Torres and the Las Animas county sheriff has him listed. Thank you all!

Oh I hope I did this right, please forgive me if not. This is a friend of a friend of mine. Wyatt has been entered into NCIC and CCIC. I did search here to see if he has been entered but nothing came up. Thanks everybody!

@liona I always hesitate too, especially if there is more than one location involved. I don't know why. I will report my post here and ask a moderator to help. The title of the thread could be "CO - Wyatt Chayanne Torres, 23, Trinidad, Las Animas County, 12 Sept 2020, truck found Dodger Stadium in CA"

I am really not qualified to be a verified insider. I do not know anymore than what has been reported. I just want to help my dear friend. I do know that this is one, if not the best place to get Wyatt’s face and situation out there. Thank you .

Is there any additional information you can share? Even minor details about Wyatt? I can find next to nothing online in a very quick first search. I will definitely keep searching for information and share whatever I find. Praying for his safe return, please keep us updated if you hear anything at all.

I will definitely update everybody. I do know that Wyatt is an avid hunter and that is pretty much it. His sister is very involved with locating Wyatt. I believe that she went to California the other day and I know she was looking for help and resources. I know what a great resource websleuths is, especially for missing persons and I know there are locals from here that will keep an eye out for him. The 2 different locations makes things especially difficult for the family because where do they start.
There is another missing poster, and I don’t know how to upload it, sorry I stink at this, but at the bottom his sister has her info listed. I know I can’t go off of his sisters Facebook but if you come across it there are many more pictures and some more information about Wyatt. Thanks everybody❤️

@Truman , love your image!!!

@liona , Wyatt's sister should consider taking her number off that poster! All sorts of people will call her! Some may be able to help, the rest a hindrance at best.

What information did LE glean from the truck? Fingerprints, camera images of the driver getting out, any traffic camera views between Colorado & Dodger Stadium? Any sort of damage, inside or out?

Google Maps shows that the truck traveled over 1000 miles, a trip of over 14 hours. Where did the driver buy gas?

Has LE in Albuquerque asked for camera footage? My family lives in New Mexico, so to me the most likely route is south on I-25 and west on I-40.

Albuquerque I-40 Traffic Cameras

Prettier through the National Forests, yeah, but longer & slower. Was the driver intentionally avoiding cameras?

Did Wyatt talk about driving Route 66 to the coast???

I was thinking that too. You never know who is going to see the poster. They were asking for any help when they went to Cali the other day and I think it’s just pure desperation. I have been on WS as mostly a lurker for almost as long as the site has been online so I have become jaded a bit until now honestly. And I am aware of that desperation right now more than usual.
I told my friend to direct Wyatts sister over here, when she can, to check out some of the suggestions that you amazing people have. Nobody knows where to start when a loved one goes missing. And the different circumstances of every case makes it hard to know exactly what to do. But I’d direct anybody here as a resource and for suggestions.
I hope, being that Wyatts an adult, that he is just taking a breather. ❤️❤️

A 2020 truck just left “near Dodger Stadium”??

I lived for 20 years in LA, though I’m a Cubs fan so I really don’t go to the stadium much as it’s got a rep for violence. Edited * I see the the parking lot is accessible when the stadium is not open, however during COVID I wouldn’t know how many people
would actually be going there (or if access is even open), also Major League sports venues are heavily monitored by security guards and cameras and this abandoned truck should have been quickly noticed. Leaving it here almost seems like someone wasn’t trying to hide it, or hope it would be stolen but rather wanted it found by authorities or didn’t care.

The stadium is located near downtown and close to many bus and a light rail lines that could take one to Union Station, LAX and the Greyhound station. It’s a bit of a walk down from the hilltop but people do it every time there is an event.

It seems weird that a brand new truck would be “left” behind which leads me to feel like the truck wasn’t the target and either Option A. He’s self disappeared or Option B. He was a victim of foul play and the trick was used to escape to LA (feels unlikely).

At this point I’m feeling Option A. It’s easy to get lost in Los Angeles and especially in this area of downtown.

Just read a missing poster that states the truck was a 2014 not a 2020, also states he has no cell phone. Interesting.

IF LE could find that truck westbound on I-40 in a traffic cam -- might be able to tell how many people were in it.

Agree about the MLB stadium, security has video of that truck arriving & the driver (and any passengers) departing.

Wyatt, phone home, please!

Here’s another poster. I think he looks a lot different in this picture

I would definitely check the cameras at any store he might have went to that night. Or if there are any along the most likely track that was taken to I-25. I don’t know how to go about checking cameras? Do the police have to do it or is it something you can request as a family member? I worry because sometimes men’s disappearances may not be investigated as much it seems to me. To me Wyatt is still a kid, even though he’s an adult, he’s the same age as my kids so...
