Just thinkin', but it doesn't seem likely to me that this church area is a place where Casey would have hung out with Caylee while pretending to be at work. Besides the fact that they probably weren't members and so probably wouldn't have been allowed to hang around, if they DID hang out there very much at all certainly the teachers and other adults there on a daily basis would remember them what with all the news about Caylee's disappearance and we'd probably have heard by now that this was a favorite hang-out.

BUT, I do think that Casey could have known about the place, including Hawk's Hollow. Simply growing up, she might have known someone who attended that church, etc.

I agree.not everyday of course.But I think she might have taken her there to "hide" out once in awhile and therefore knew of this spot prior to Caylee's death.

You can tell the pings where she is just driving though. There are some she is there for minutes and some even hours at a time.

I was curious the same thing what is in that area between amscott and the church??

Yes that would be nice to know but we don't have info prior to 6/14. I would love to see if she visited that area around Amscott before Tony.

Also, Clint stated that Casey left every morning to go to work, so unless she was breaking back into his place after they were all gone, then she could not have been pinging stationary from his apt.

Again, be careful with the pings in the Amscot area. That tower will ping frequently from Tony's apartment with a CID=1, as it would from the church if she ever was there. That tower will also ping if she is driving by, say to go shopping in the area or to go between Tony's, Amy's, or home. In those cases you will see a different CID depending on which side of the tower she is on.

I am not as well versed with how the tower actual pings and the CID parts of this. Would looking at Tower 48 as well as Tower 46 give a better picture. If I have myself in the right place on the map this church is in the middle of these two towers. If she was traveling she would hit both in a realativly short time from each other.

Do we have a physical address for these towers by chance. Not sure how I can do it but a radius could be drawn around each tower and see if the church is in the zone for pings and from what side it woudl be on. Don't know if I am making myself clear with what I mean.

Great job CocoaMom! Excellent bit of deductive reasoning!

A couple of thoughts while reading thread:

1) Gas cans - used for extra gas to keep car running in parking lot for radio, cell phone charger, A/C, light. You know if you don't leave the engine running you will eventually run the battery down. Wouldn't want to be caught out there needing a jump.
2) Decomp smell - IF Caylee is under the stage, the fox skull would make a perfect excuse for the odor. If anyone stumbled back there to look for the source of the smell, leaned over, sees fox skull, "OK, that's what that is, off we go.................". I can see KC thinking this.
3) Known associations to this church - I can't see why there would be. If I were going to dump a body, I would NOT choose somewhere where I was known to attend. JMO

Cocoa the important thing, as you say, is to obtain the church's permission to search their property. For this reason, I just think it is important to be taken seriously... since if this turns into a psych thread, we shouldn't be surprised if Yuri and LE aren't very responsive or on board. Highly trained LE dogs could be very useful in searching culverts eg, and church much more apt to grant LE permission. JMO

I just wanted to jump in here: I'm a borderline, before meds and when I was ALLOT younger, LOL ... I too would sit in my car in certain places ... sometimes for hours.

Why? Because I felt lost .. as if I didn't belong anywhere.

I would eat there, nap there, listen to radio, etc. etc. .. no children then, so it was just me, but just sayin ...

And if I found somewhere that was soothing, I kept going back to 'my spot'.
