Fernando’s friend Sharom Gil told local media outlet TeleMedellín that the flight attendant and another coworker had gone out partying after work in the El Poblado neighborhood.

While there, Gil said the group met another guy “who wanted to take the party to another place” after the club closed and invited them to join.

Fernando’s last contact was a message he sent in the early morning hours of March 22, the outlet reported, sharing his location at an Airbnb in El Poblado.

This is the first I've heard he shared his location at an Airbnb. Sounds like it was after he left the bar but hard to say for sure. His cell phone was found later in that same neighborhood.

The one thing that stuck out for me being a former airline crewmember (pilot) was the article linked that stated that he had a flight out on Sunday morning. But American Airlines hasn't confirmed his schedule. I can't see him intentionally staying out in the wee hours to party if he had a morning show time, he would have needed to get some rest before reporting for duty. I know we would stay out late sometimes if we were at a restaurant/bar open late IF we didn't report to work until late in the next day, but everyone kind of knew to make it a short night if you had a morning shift.

That makes the drugging seem much more plausible.

It sounds similar to what happened to a model and her friend in L.A.

Two people out for the evening, they accept an invitation to continue the party at a private home, they are drugged, one survives, one overdoses ... ??

phone appeared to be pinging to two locations in Medellín that were not near his hotel.

colleague who went out with him Saturday said she could not recall parts of the night.

she was also a victim of whatever Fernando is going through right now. She was disoriented, but she was able to make it back to the layover hotel

People is now reporting what local TV telemedelin stated (see my posts above)

Authorities believe he may have been drugged and are investigating that claim.

He was last seen early Sunday morning after a party at a club in the Medellín neighborhood of El Poblado, with a man and a woman, according to the security secretary.

Fox News reports the 32-year-old shared his location at a rental house near Jose Maria Cordova International Airport shortly before he went missing

Investigators in Medellín, Colombia, say they have made significant progress

In a press conference on Thursday, Manuel Villa Mejía, secretary of security of Medellín, said investigators have identified the people last seen with 32-year-old Eric Fernando Gutierrez Molina

Officials said on Thursday that they have now identified those other people and that they have a history of committing theft using scopolamine, an incapacitating drug known as "devil's breath" with a history of being used in assaults in the country.

Investigators in Colombia have not released the names of the people who are believed to have been with Gutierrez Molina or said whether they have been taken into custody and questioned, but they have identified vehicles and phones used by the suspects.

Missing flight attendant’s partner says he is ‘shattered’ as officials confirm they have identified suspects

The disappearance comes as a U.S. State Department travel advisory for Colombia remains in effect, urging Americans to “reconsider travel” amid ongoing concerns over widespread violent crime.

This is just so very sad, I was really hoping for a better outcome

« un cuerpo sin vida en zona rural del municipio de Jericó, en el suroeste del departamento. »

Tr:
a lifeless body in a rural area of the municipality of Jericó, in the southwest of the department.

According to information confirmed by the police, the discovery was made around noon in the Cauca district, a rural area of the municipality of Jericó, located approximately 110 kilometers from Medellín. The body, which belongs to a man, was found in a state of decomposition and, so far, showed no visible stab wounds or gunshot wounds. Authorities emphasize that, for now, the body remains unidentified.

The initial report came from the police in Jericó. The station commander indicated that residents of the Puente Iglesias district alerted them to “a possible lifeless body in the waters of the Río Piedra stream, about an hour from the town center.” Because the municipality does not have a morgue with the capacity to handle such procedures, the body was initially taken to the morgue at the local hospital in Jericó and will later be transferred to Medellín for formal identification.

Authorities indicated that the investigation, led by the Police and the Prosecutor's Office, is making significant progress and already has clear leads on those possibly responsible for the incident.

Finally, the president revealed that once those responsible for this homicide are captured, they could be extradited to the United States.

Qué en Paz Descanses Fernando.

Certainly been very difficult to follow with so many contradictions as regards locations reported by media and friends.

Medecina Legal - the forensic services - tend to be quick in disclosing their results.
