Comedian Gallagher collapsed onto his back, clutching his chest during his performance tonight in Rochester, MN -- and TMZ has learned he was rushed to a hospital by ambulance.

Years and years ago, he was appearing in my town - after his show, he attempted to visit our local nightclub. They wouldn't let him in, he had a huge, probably five foot wide cowboy hat on and refused to take it off. The owner was so redfaced to learn the next day who she had refused admittance.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Gallagher's manager says the comedian is recovering from a minor heart attack after collapsing during a performance in Minnesota.


Craig Marquado said Friday that Gallagher will remain hospitalized at least one more night. He says Gallagher's two performances scheduled for Friday night in Illinois have been postponed.
