I know 2 women who had 2 sets of twins. I think I would stop at that! LOL.

OH yes!! Me too.

There is a couple in NY who has identical quadruplets conceived naturally.

They did get some media coverage but not nearly the amount that these women with 6 get.
IMO it is waaaay more amazing to have 4 identical children at once naturally then to have 6 with fertility drugs.

Oh boy! I guess you handle whatever life throws at you, but quadrulplets conceived naturally is a lot!

A lot of love in return, I should add. : ) There's good and bad to having multiples. After the baby stage, I would say it's all good.

ST. PETERSBURG - Florida's first sextuplets were born Saturday night in Bayfront Medical Center.
Karoline Byler, 29, of Wesley Chapel, gave birth to five boys and one girl between 9 and 9:03 p.m.
'We saw them all and it's quite an experience,' said grandfather Jack Kiewra of The Villages. 'I'm very pleased everything went well. We have six new healthy grandbabies and my daughter is fine.'
No names were released, but the couple had selected MacKenzie Margaret and Brady Christopher as two names.
Karen Raimer of Bayfront Medical Center was the delivering physician of the 14th set of sextuplets born in the United States, and the first in Florida.
The Byler Six were transported next door to All Children's Hospital shortly after their birth.
Ben Byler, 30, told The Tampa Tribune a week before the birth of his brood that he was hoping for Labor Day deliveries, and they did come on Labor Day weekend.
Ben Byler said recently that he hoped they'd reach 30 weeks in the pregnancy to assure full development of vital organs, and the babies were carried 29 weeks and four days.
The Bylers have one other child, daughter Zoe, 4. http://www2.tbo.com/content/2007/se...-baby-baby-baby-sextuplets-bor/?news-breaking

WOO HOO--they are all alive and healthy--Let's hope they stay that way, and progress and thrive like those six Oriental sextuplets on that Discovery TV show

Glad it is them and not me!! LOL Six at once is quite a feat! Wow! Can you imagine all those diapers and feedings?! Oh, MY!

I am glad they are healthy, too. Bless their wee little hearts. Awwww...bet they are so cute!

Update at Beyond Belief's link:

Five are in stable condition, while Ryan Patrick was experiencing breathing problems that All Children's doctors and staff are to stabilize. Karoline Byler remains in Bayfront and is "doing extremely well," Dr. Karen Raimer, who delivered the babies, said today.

''They lowered the oxygen they are providing Ryan, so he can take some outside air,'' said father Ben Byler, who wore the hospital bracelets of his five new sons and one new daughter on his right wrist. He asked for continued prayers for Ryan, who weighs 3 pounds.

The septuplets' 4 year old sister is such a cute little thing--Her life will never be quite the same when these 6 little tykes come home in November

names are Bradley Christopher, Eli Benjamin, Ryan Patrick, Jackson Robert, Charlie Craig, and Mackenzie Margaret

A lot of donations are pouring in, diapers, food etc.--hopefully the Bylers will get a lot of help taking care of the babies when they come home via friends, neighbors and relatives--think there will be about 30 diaper changes a day amongst those babies

Update: Florida's only sextuplets yesterday finally all arrived home from the hospital--A happy thanksgiving indeed for the Byler family, who once again expressed thanks to everyone for their well-wishes and donations--All the babies are now healthy enough to live at home, which is a great relief to the parents

I have always felt sorry for the older siblings of these multiples.
Life is NEVER the same for them!!!

yeah, to go from an only child to then six new arrivals is a big change--but she's a real precious thing indeed

I've known older children in families with twins and triplets, and a lot of times they either feel left out or are pressed into helping out with the smaller ones way too soon for their age and maturity. I hope this doesn't happen here because it can foster so much resentment.

yeah, I noticed that the Pennsylvania sextuplets, in the show Jon and Kate plus Eight, that one of the older twins, Madi, seems to be going thru a change of personality--At first, the two older twins were getting along perfectly with their new brothers and sisters, but lately Madi has really been acting up,whining and crying a lot, could very well be feeling now a lack of attention

That was exactly my thought. They become the family slave. No one means for that to happen. But with that many little ones, it's all work, work, work. Alots of stress, tired, cranky, mess. Everyone is pulled into work.

It's that way in big familys. But NORMAL big familys, have 1 or 2 at a time. The older kids helping with the younger ones. In these cases, you have 1 older, and 6 younger. OUCH! Totally not fair for the older one.
