It would certainly be the worst coincidence of all time if he just happened to walk in and take out special needs kids, one of whom lived across the street from him. He seems to have planned so many aspects...and it could be something as simple as seeing Dylan from time to time that started the plan :(

The special needs kids probably were in regular class but went to something like a resource room to have time with the special ed teacher. Maybe he knew right where to go.

I don't think the view from his house (since it sits so far back from the street) allowed seeing neighbors' houses that much.

And the Special Ed teacher was killed so I've been wondering if she had been going through her morning routine of collecting the kids for a regular pull-out session. Or she could have just been in that class to assist every morning - IDK.

The more I read, the more I wonder if this was a special needs classroom.

I am starting to wonder that too? Which brings us back to whether Adam himself, had resentment towards this school for issues that started when he was a child himself.

However, a lot of special needs classes, where I am from, the ages differ greatly. The little ones (1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades) are together with the older ones (4th and 5th grades). The ages of all the victims were 6/7 so I believe that this school most likely had the special needs children intergrated with the ones who did not have special needs and they had a special needs Aide in the classroom to assist.

Is the mobile crime scene unit still at the killer's home?

  • #648
I think he ended up in the classrooms which were not locked down. I don't think they were chosen because of any special needs students, but rather because they were accessible at that moment. He knocked on a couple of other doors and was not able to get in. :rose:

I hadn't thought of the impact of being pulled out of school, but you are right. That was his only form of socialization. I wonder what kind of plan the school district had that upset NL so much that she pulled him out of school?

Wonder if AL was truly pulled out of school or the school recommended to the mother that it was not a good/appropriate place for him. Possibly expelled. Things are just too quiet about this family. Certain the silence will break before long!

funny you ask that - just now on CNN a reporter outside the home said a little while ago all the detectives and crime techs left. She said she spoke to Lt. Vance and he confirmed that they are now done processing the home but reserved the right to come back if something they find leads them back there.

No link - it was live on CNN

Perhaps this has been posted or is just mentioning some of the same things we have heard.

http://seattletimes.com/avantgo/2019939976.html

"A preliminary examination of his cellular telephone showed that he had made or received few, if any calls, investigators and others familiar with the matter said. No information has yet emerged from investigators on any possible text messages he may have sent or received."

"Lanza had thousands of dollars worth of video games as well as an X-Box, although it appears he rarely if ever used it, preferring to play violent video games on his computer with other anonymous gamers investigators were told."

"Although authorities know that Lanza was the shooter, police are pursuing the case as an active murder investigation until they understand what happened and why. At least three search warrants have been filed under seal in Superior Court in Danbury, Conn., according to Geoffrey Stowell, deputy chief clerk of the court. Two of them can be unsealed Dec. 28, and one can be unsealed Dec. 30, he said."

But we do not know if he was knocking on these doors to find specific people. Actually, we probably will never know because the coward killed himself and smashed his hard drive.

I so wish they could repair it and see if he visited the Sandy Hook website at all? Trying to gather information on where specific people would be?

I think one thing that should change is the teachers putting their specific classroom numbers on the school's webpage. Maybe parents should be given a specific password to be able to gain access to the comings and goings of the school through their website instead of it being available to anyone who wants to see. I don't like the idea of anyone having so much information about the comings and goings of the children in a school environment. He may have very well known that it was Gingerbread House making day and that the school would be much more relaxed. A lot of children would be gathered in groups instead of sitting in their individual seats making it easier to fire at them in one direction?

I don't know? It's just still so hard to comprehend that this even happened.

I have spent a whole day trying to find an article I read yesterday morning that had info on it about a group of school children that took an old horse at the riding stables that all the kids were afraid to ride and they fed him apples and peppermints and brushed him out and pampered him and allowed him to roll in the dirt all in memory of the victim that loved horses. My daughter wanted to read it and I haven't been able to find it, anyone see it?

I also noticed yesterday that Jack Pinto had an open casket viewing, I was so happy that at least one family was able to see their loved one once more. I feel it would be very hard for me to accept if I didnt see my loved one. Sorry for the gruesomeness.

Guessing; his mother's house, his father's house...could the 3rd be a doctor's files on him?

H. Wayne Carver II, Connecticut’s chief medical examiner, said Nancy Lanza’s body, and her son’s, were not claimed until Tuesday, four days after the killings. He said the funeral home that claimed them asked not to be identified and planned to transport them “discreetly

So both bodies have been claimed per this article.

Wonder if pics of the interior to NL's home will be released? Do we know in what location of the home was AL's computers/games found? Wonder what was in the basement? Were there deadbolt locks on the door leading to the basement?

I took it that little Grace casket was open when watching the parents interview with Anderson Cooper.

Mom stated that after they did their family hug of Gracie, they wrote with their sharpies all on her little white casket.

Another thing you have to factor in is the fact that he specifically gained entrance through the front of the school. He could have gained entrance through any means (windows) in any part of the school, yet he chose the front entrance area closest to the little ones and where the Principal, School psychologist, and suspiciously, where Ms. Murphy would be. He had a reason why he went in that way, IMO. He could have went around so many adults in the front office had he went another way, but it appears, to me, he wanted it this way.
