borndem, you're the best!

What would we do without you to laugh at our jokes?

And you're so funny, too!
You certainly make me LOL.

What was The Defendant wearing on the 25th of June, 2009?

Painter's pants? Safari pants?

I forgot what they're called! GRRRRRRRR

They were khaki with large pockets on the sides/thighs.

(The pockets concealed the tubing!)

ETA: Now I remember..... CARGO pants!
(Shhh - I saw octobermoon's answer!)

Perhaps Chernoff can explain what he "thinks" the significance of it is, because I have never understood it. While, if MJ was addicted to demerol would explain his insomnia, it also means that it would take higher than normal dosages by Murray of benzos (and propofol!) to knock MJ out. I just don't get it.

I think what they are trying to prove by MJ's 'addiction' to demerol is that he is an addict so he would be greedy/desperate enough to take his own meds when Murray was not looking. And possibly kill himself by accident.

The DT really shot themselves in the foot by having White give that 'filled syringe left in the room' scenario. That is also negligence, imo.

Vinnie says court will resume in about a half hour for those that need to get some lunch or dinner started. :)

I think (IMO) CM was tired and frustrated with MJ and gave him too much. Again only imo.

Not to kill him, just because he was worn out and wanted to make his calls.
'

I agree, o'moon -- I think he may have adjusted the thingie (please excuse, RNs!) on the IV line with the milk a little faster than he meant, due to his inexperience and maybe yes, in a bit of pique, fatigue and impatience, and the stuff just really flowed... .. I do think that CM tried to do essentially the same routine each night -- and this time, just a little something was off -- he wouldn't have noticed it if he'd studied it for 2 more hours, IMO -- and MJ probably OD'ed somewhere between 9:30 and 10:30. I say again that MJ was good & dead by 11:00. No turning back, no "do-overs."

Ugh HLN TH "Joey Jackson" just said Chernoff has to argue Murray was not an incompetent doctor. Gah! He also said White and Shafer "cancelled each other out". Another one who did not watch the testimony, but goes on TV to opine. Yuck.

WOW - Anyone else watching this guy (an atty?), on HLN... who is sticking up for the defense and Dr Murray,
saying CM was a great doctor, cared for his patients, and even opened up a free clinic <rolls eyes> for his patients!

That there most certainly is a reasonable doubt... blah blah blah

I really do not see how Ryan Smith tolerates co-hosting a show with JVM. She just dominates the entire time and shouts everything she says and offers very little new commentary - she just repeats what others have said. She rarely gives Ryan any time to say much at all and she will ask a guest a question and then half the time she doesn't even let them finish. I swear she drives me nuts. :banghead:

He doesn't care because Dr Drew is doing the opposite. Dr Drew has given his show over to Ryan completely several times when he is out of town. And when he guests on the show Dr Drew is very respectful and generous with compliments. So ryan is not worried about JVM.

I just love Mike Brooks, he takes excellent notes. Joey J. is still spouting off. Saying MJ might have died at his own hand. GRRRRRR

Whoa -- great point by Walgren re: the phone call for 22 minutes at 9:23 -- MJ was already asleep............. (via drip)

Just a guess, but I think it may have been about here when MJ passed from sedation into anesthesia, and we started losing him. He was so little & so light, so fatigued, and so under -- all systems depressed as it s/be under anesthesia -- no supp. oxygen, no really opened throat to breathe or chin out and up, etc., etc., and he just floated away.

I wonder if Mrs. Walgren was in the courtroom this morning. I'll bet she was. :D

  • #218
Jean C. saying the people in the hall erupted in cheers for Walgren.

  • #219
Jean Caserez also reporting that the MJ fans roared when Walgren was outside the courtroom after his closing argument. She said it was so loud you could hear it all over the courthouse (that must be a bit of an exaggeration, but still).
