GUILTY Conrad Murray Trial - Verdict Watch

cnn/live has a sign up that says, "Jury Reaction Expected". Is the jury going to speak?

Was anyone else surprised at how quickly the three court room officers surrounded Conrad Murray to handcuff him; once Judge Pastor made his decision?

Wow!

You know it didn't really matter who was sitting in that defendants chair today. MJ was a drug addict. He was a drug addict long before Conrad Murray came into the picture. MJ has always been able to buy his way in and out of situations. This time he was in over his head. Everyone that worked for MJ was guilty of trying to please the King of Pop. MJ made sure he paid everyone well to satisfy his whims. Too bad this whim killed him and ruined the Life of a doctor who got caught up in something way over his head too!

I heart you Dolly, but one word from CM and he would never have been in this position - the word is No. The oath CM took was "First do no harm". MJ is dead because of the actions CM took that day. MJ may very well have found someone else to do his bidding, but CM said yes, and now CM will pay for what he has done.

Did anyone notice the person reading the verdict. They just replayed it and her her voice definitely cracked with emotion. I thought she was going to cry or perhaps she was!!!

  • #625
I just heard the scream in the courtroom as they replay the verdict. I didnt hear it the first time over my own WHOOOP WHOOOPS.

I truly expected to be crying over a not guilty. Def didnt expect him to be cuffed and taken. Love the judge and jury.

I can finally shower. Praise god. Lol.

I'm glad that justice was meted out...but this is so sad. It shouldn't have happened. So senseless. This doctor knew this man needed help...he didn't deserve to die.

Jackson doctor convicted in star's 2009 drug death

By LINDA DEUTSCH, AP

LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson's doctor was convicted Monday of involuntary manslaughter after a trial that painted him as a reckless caregiver who administered a lethal dose of a powerful anesthetic that killed the pop star.

The verdict against Dr. Conrad Murray marked the latest chapter in one of pop culture's most shocking tragedies — the death of the King of Pop on the eve of the singer's heavily promoted comeback concerts.

The jury deliberated less than nine hours. The Houston cardiologist, 58, faces a sentence of up to four years in prison. He could also lose his medical license...

Linda Deutsch is the grande dame of crime reporters, now that Dominick Dunne has left us. Oh, how he would have loved to have covered this trial!

YES! i was like DAMN! They must be mj fans! :floorlaugh: The judge had to tell them to hold off a sec.

CM has to have time to put his "affairs" in order. :floorlaugh:

Wow! I'm surprised that Judge Pastor is going to remand him without bail. The public has to be protected. He's guilty of homicide based on criminal negligence. He's not sure that Dr. Murray would not be a flight risk because he is now a convicted felon and has ties outside the state.

I'll say again -- the Judge did not like that man.

I'm not surprised one bit. He has had, what? 2 years out on his own after what he did to that trusting man, his only patient.

No going home today, man!! -

Go directly to jail and do not collect $150,000.

Yes and yes. Thank you, jury and Lady Justice!

Vanity Fair is not the same with out Dominick Dunne, and he would have been a great voice during this and the OCA trial.

No... I was surprised that he and the lawyers were not required to stand during the reading of the verdict, though. He looked so surprised that they cuffed him. Cherny had his back turned, but I think he might have been asking them, "Is this really necessary?"

Oh, and was that one of the Jacksons who cried out as soon as we heard "guilty?" Catherine perhaps? I cannot imagine how she is feeling. Sweet, sweet lady, I pray God will give her peace now.

Good job, Walgren! Good job, Judge!

Was 2 hour notice given?

Murray didn't do a lot of things, first call 911 right away, didn't tell the paramedics or the emergency room doctors about the propofol, he lied about sending the drugs to his girlfriends house, he didn't lock up the drugs. MJ was not a drug addict he suffered from a lot of pain. He had Demerol administrated during surgery to his face. If he was a drug addict he would have had a lot of pain medicine prescribed to him. He died of propofol and propofol only.

Murray will face sentencing on Tuesday November 29th, 2011. Prosecutor asked that he be immediately remanded, and the judge ruled in favor! He was put directly into custody without bail!

Did I hear Beth Karas say she is waiting on jury interview to begin shortly??? DH was talking to me while she was talking so I didn't hear what all she said.

According to HLN, Condrad's mother was given his clothes.

I heard Chernoff was crying? What a loon. I suppose he thought this case was going to make him the next Racehorse Haynes or Dick Deguerin. Oh well, back to the court appointments for you, Ed. Hoped you enjoyed your stay at the Ritz Carlton.
