Conway Presser - Fri., 2/6/09

  • #181
I felt he really tried to answer all the questions that were thrown at him,as honestly as possible, but at the same time trying not to compromise
his lawyer/client confidentiality. If he didn't know something,he said so. If he felt he didn't feel comfortable answering a question,he said so,instead of going around in circles. I liked that.

Interesting how we can all see things so differently! Thanks for sharing why you like him.

I just saw BC again and noticed he said "no pocketbooks"...WTH, people can't even bring their wallets? Ridiculous...just like the decoy cars they pretended they needed at the hospital.

I guess we will be getting updated memorial pressers from BC a few times daily until Tuesday. He said absolutely nothing new today and yet he was given air time. The media needs to be more selective in what they are televising.

Maybe he meant notebooks?

ROFL- or maybe they dont want anyone else to whinge about donations being asked for.No wallets means no money can change hands...

:offtopic: BTW I haven't melted yet, but look at the poor watermelon on the right that was left in the sun for a couple of hours.LOL- I've never seen anything like it! It reached 50 C (122 F)

I notice Conway says the bracelet was placed in the clothes "by the family". Not CA, GA or LA. He's trying to present an image that they all think alike, and they're all in the same place with this horror story. IMO, after GA's breakdown, I don't think that's the case. Whoever put the bracelet in there (most likely CA) probably did it unbeknownst to the other two. One of them might break away.

Cindy was the only one that could have done it. Lee was in Tampa and George was in Daytona in the hospital.

Notice that they can't even tell the truth about that, even though it is so evident.

Yeppers. I amended my post before posting. I deleted the part that said "I don't know why BC didn't come out and say Cindy did it because we all know she was the only one that could have done it.." Guess they all think the public is stupid and can't keep up with their ever changing stories.

Well the church isn't going to get very many "offerings" then...geesh what a mistake. JMO.

ETA..IMO the whole point of the presser was to say the "A" Family shoved the bracelet in the sock..very informative.

Attorney for George and Cindy Anthony says Caylee 'deserves dignity'

Willoughby Mariano5:36 PM EST, February 6, 2009 The lawyer for George and Cindy Anthony issued a warning this afternoon for attendees of their granddaughter's upcoming memorial service:

Be respectful of Caylee Marie Anthony's memory or stay away.

"She deserves dignity and respect and she's going to get it," Brad Conway said during a 4:15 p.m. press conference outside of the Orange County Courthouse.

Caylee's mom Casey Anthony faces first-degree murder charges in her daughter's death.

Security will be tight at First Baptist Church of Orlando's service on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The girl's family has been threatened, Conway said.

:clap::clap::clap:

ITA! I wish the press would stop taking his calls and showing up for his pressers.

LOL re the donations! Maybe they think people will keep their cash in their pockets this way, and when they go through the security checks, which will have bracelet sales and donation buckets nearby, they will have to empty their pockets to go through the medical detector and they hope you don't put your money straight back in the pocket! Lol. Seriously, hopefully they won't ask for donations, hopefully they got enough for selling the tv rights that they don't have to...lol. I know you don't agree, and honestly, I hope you are right and I am wrong. I just really feel they want to make a living out of this tragedy.

He used the word "pocketbook"....perhaps one of our American friends can translate for us? Does "pocketbook" mean wallet in American?

He actually listed a bunch of things, so I think he used the word deliberately, but may be wrong.

No way...not 50! OMG!!!!! I remember when we hit 48 & that was soooo awful. I am so glad I'm not there...it's probably about 3 here and I'm not complaining......that is a million times worse. Hope you get a good southerly come thru this evening!

ETA...for our American friends, 50 celsius equals 122 fahrenheit!

How can they bury her when they don't have authority over her remains? Until Casey releases the remains to her mother and father, Caylee will not be buried. That is, if she ever does release them. Casey could very easily decide to have Caylee cremated, then ask to keep her remains in the cell with her.

The accused murderer of a person really still has custody of the body of the person they are accused of murdering?! G0d that is wrong on so many different levels!

I think it must be regional. My best friend is from Long Island, NY, and she says "pocketbook" for purse.

Sounds to me like the Anthony's still want to get their daughter off these murder charges by any means. Following JB's instructions to stay away from KC. They want to make some public announcement that they support and love her. YUCK. Who could love someone that killed their beloved grand baby. I couldn't.

I don't know, I would love my son no matter what... what I wouldn't do is lie or cover up for him.

The penny just dropped for me...I think the reason he is saying the family did it is because last week he denied that Cindy did it, so he had to get around that statement, so instead of apologising to JB, he makes it sound like he was being honest last week and that we all misunderstood.

Yep...and the only reason I think they came clean on that, was because they know the bracelets are about to go on sale and that we'd all know they had them (and not JB) anyhow.

My reaction when he stressed they were NOT at the HOME, was maybe they're worried about people trying to get into their home while they're all busy across town at the memorial? It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out the cremated remains are already at the A's.

I agree. BC stated they were not at the home. If the remains were not cremated, how could they be at the home?

Just home from work. Okay, this might be wrong of me to ask as it might of been talked about earlier in the thread...but what in the world does the troops who are fighting for our country, and what they go through when they return from duty..have to do with this case and what the A's are going through? ( I watched a tid bit of the presser from work). Please don't bash me for this.
