Idle musing - Is there a full moon out tonight ?....moo
Have to wait until March 9th for that.

On another note, we have some serious storms passing through here. I could hear the wind approaching from the distance and then it literally roared by. Not sure if the power is going to stay on - the lights are flashing off and on.

May see you lovely people all tomorrow.

From 11.59pm on Wednesday (March 4), travellers entering Singapore and exhibiting fever or other symptoms of respiratory illness but do not meet the clinical suspect case definition for Covid-19 may be required to undergo a swab test for the disease at the immigration checkpoints, MOH said in a statement.

They may carry on their journey immediately after taking the swab test.
However, while waiting for the results — which may take between three and six hours — these travellers are advised to minimise contact with others as a precautionary measure.

They will be contacted by the authorities on the result of their swab test and those who test positive will be taken to hospital in a designated ambulance.
Short-term visitors who are identified for testing but refuse to undertake it will not be allowed entry into Singapore, MOH said.

Wow, I swear Twilight Zone popped in my head again when you said that—

“There’s a storm on the loose,
Sirens in my head...”

I find that kind of attractive.

Would discourage panhandlers and annoying people that want to chat you up

I kind of liked those plastic protection suits too. Except since the young people will have a hard time meeting potential new mates to help pro-create the world, I think some major improvements in the design should be addressed. Like maybe have individually unique Ergonomically correct molds that sit off the body only about 3 inches out, so our individual outlines and unique body forms can be highlighted to help attract mates. No cheating in key areas. LOL :)

I am thinking back and two weeks ago I had someone in my home who had had some kind of intense cold (I can't recall all the details of their symptoms) and had also traveled on an air plane between Seattle and northern California in the days before on a work trip with a large group of people.

I believe they said they had it in January, and then it came back in Feb. Today I am feeling an itch in my throat and its causing me to make a few occasional small coughs.... I started taking zinc lozenges. I'm a bit scared.

That's scary! Did they give you any indication when that might be? My son's inhalers went through a period of time when they were on backorder but I've gotten him a few refills to have on hand thankfully.
No, it was an automated message that stated it had been partially filled until they (Walgreens) could order more.

I heard on the news yesterday that there will be prescription drug shortages because necessary ingredients come from China. Some are from India, but India gets their supply from China. This isn't the first time there has bee this type of problem, but this is probably the first time that China has been out of commission for such a long time (3-4 months).
I hope that won't be the case for her other medications. At least I have her getting 90 day refills on most of them.

South Korea on Wednesday confirmed 142 new cases of the coronavirus, taking the country’s total infections to 5,328, while mainland China’s new daily cases continued to drop as it reported 119 infections.

But new deaths in mainland China jumped to 38, from 31 a day earlier, taking total fatalities to 2,981.

China’s National Health Commission said 115 of the new cases on the mainland were reported in Hubei province, the outbreak’s epicentre.

The total number of infections in mainland China stood at 80,270, while 49,856 patients had recovered.

Just wanted to say how much I love Dr. Campbell's daily videos. Thanks for posting them here!
He is right about the US is being more reactive than proactive, which is not a good thing.

MARTINEZ (CBS SF) — Contra Costa County health officials on Tuesday confirmed the county’s first case of coronavirus.

Officials with Contra Costa Health Services said the person tested positive on Tuesday afternoon. The county’s public health lab conducted the test, which is expected to be confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the coming days.

The patient is being treated at a county hospital, but health officials wouldn’t disclose which one. The infected person had no known travel history and no known contact with anyone else confirmed to have COVID-19, CCHS officials said.

Can you call the doctor and have them call some other pharmacies? Or maybe you call some other pharmacies, tell them the situation, see if they have it in stock, then call the doc and have them call it in over there? I’ve been on the phone with my doc and pharmacist for days. I finally got everything squared away but it took a lot of time, effort and phone calls.
That is a good idea, I will call tomorrow morning. Thank you.
