This article states that Fulton county may try to come up with its own tests for the virus. But does not say why they would need to do that?????
From the article, the next paragraph talks about the CDC running the test. They want to have a state lab. IMO

Honestly, I am far more scared about the repercussions and consequences of this virus (socially and economically) than of the virus itself.
I’m scared of all three, simply bc I catch everything. But I agree completely. This is just getting started. MOO

Well I’m also worried about health care providers dying.

Yes that too, but I couldn’t think what the word for that would be! It’s 2am and I should sleep

OMG!!

Have spoken w readers who have elderly relatives who are resisting social distancing precautions because they've heard on Fox News that COVID-19 is overhyped; hospital doctor in red state who says she assumes it must not be that serious since prep is so much less than for H1N1.

I simply do not understand WHY folks want to claim that this thing is overhyped...because they truly think that somehow Americans are just that much more special than other countries???

I think the biggest problem we will face, as a Country, will be the number of cases that require hospitalization and the lack of facilities to accommodate/treat serious lung issues. Imagine if even 2% of your local population needed hospitalization?

Oh goody. My dh and I are in “only” the 8% category (70-79). Woo hoo!

My husband, said "Well, only 15% chance of dying, if I get the flu, well, that is pretty good odds.".

Or use lysol spray on everything.

I just wash my hands after handling things that others might’ve touched and before eating.

She is in critical condition in ICU at Vancouver General Hospital, Dr. Henry says.

Based on the stats we’ve seen, this unfortunately may be Canada’s first CV death. I’m really praying I’m wrong. MOO

How coronavirus spread in New York: From a man to his family. Then a neighbor. Then friends.

Not gonna catch it thru casual contact and yet the man's neighbor caught it while driving him to the hospital...so, not really that much different between those two...there just seems to be so much doublespeak around this
