Can I just vent and be done with it, lol. Get this off my chest so I can get it over with and move on lol:

This sucks. I don’t know how else to put it. I am NOT a Debbie Downer or Negative Nellie, but I am a realist.

Ok. End rant. Thanks for listening. :D
I am right there with you. Tonight I cried. I live in Michigan and we have no virus here. That has been found anyways.
I was picking up fresh baked bread from my favorite market. It is always filled with fresh bread, pastry and cheeses. And much more. A neighborhood supermarket as well as gourmet market. A treasure that might not survive an major outbreak. Both financially and ....well... it’s family owned. By older people. I worry. Sigh.

Governor Hogan: "While today’s news may seem overwhelming, this is not a reason to panic. Marylanders should go to work or go to school just as they normally would. At the same time, I want to continue to remind everyone to prepare themselves and continue to stay informed"

Because some of us try to remember where people are from when they read a post and we have a hard time remembering everyone.

This is probably the biggest thing that has happened in the States since 9/11 moo (maybe I’m forgetting something).

We’ve had some horrific mass shootings...

Random musings.

I will choose to keep my public service announcement under my name :D

That is exactly what should happen. Canada is still playing politics, with open borders to anyone from anywhere. Even the announcement about open borders is about being superior to Australia, which has closed borders to people from some countries.

As a result, people from Iran, China and Italy are spreading the virus across Canada. Even if Canada is quarantining the most "at risk", too many are slipping through the cracks and reporting illness well after they've been moving around the community. The latest case, a woman who was infected on a cruise, didn't develop symptoms until a week after she was home.

yeah and the general population is not taking it seriously in my experience

I worry about everything, lol. I hesitate to put my state in my profile. I follow some horrific criminal cases. If a perp were clever, how easy would it be to sleuth us? Find us? Goodness I am over the top tonight.

Again, we’ve had plenty of warning and time. China didn’t get that window. While many out there have been dismissive, we were smart and many of us at least could somewhat prepare with whatever budgets we have.

Again, there’s only so long supplies can last. Unless you have 6 months supply of toilet paper or whatever it is...I’m glad I was able to get all my pharmaceutical supplies. But it’s only a drop in the bucket.

We will have to go out and about. There’s just no way not to for most of us.

This sucks.

Not over the top, I bet a lot of WS posters think that way!! We are cautious, suspicious and well read on crimes and safety.
I thought about that but did it anyway. .. I am in a large city and have not said much about myself of ws over the years.
