Some of those Italian patients in those face down photos don't look that elderly to me....and those were frightening photos...maybe the naysayers need to see them.
Italy seems to be having a pretty high death rate. Not sure why, but sounds like hospitals are overwhelmed and patients are not getting care they need.

If you ever get your cat to listen, I want your secret. Note - at least having animals is a proven stress reducer. And a comfort.
Not if the cat is constantly plotting my murder.

''Pearl Jam postponing tour because of coronavirus
With "deep frustration and regret," Seattle band Pearl Jam on Monday announced it was postponing part of its upcoming tour because of the coronavirus outbreak.

"Having no examples of our national health department's ability to get ahead of this, we have no reason to believe that it will be under control in the coming weeks ahead," that band said in making the announcement. ''

As residents of the city of Seattle, we’ve been hit hard and have witnessed firsthand how quickly these disastrous situations can escalate. Our kids’ schools have closed along with universities and businesses.''

ETAA: Duck egg creme brûlée is my own concoction, just substituting duck eggs and so much better.

I feel so blessed to have chickens on any given day because their antics make me smile, but I am especially grateful now because they can feed us and my parents (eggs only here as they are also beloved pets) indefinitely.

Did he say how he is feeling? Describe symptoms, etc.?

We’ve seen that with two cases of young people interviewed. Suffocation with one. A bunch of bricks on his chest with another. Both in their 20’s.

Wow we are all isolating in our homes at least we can lean on each other and entertain each other with tortilla making classes and fermentation classes!
And we can talk about WS cases. I will give all of my pandemic supplies and toilet paper to anyone who can figure out who murdered Abby and Libby!
This is now my support group!

First coronavirus case confirmed on Staten Island
Updated 10:27 PM
''STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The first case of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on Staten Island was confirmed Monday, according to an internal Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) memo obtained by the Advance/SiLive.com.

Earlier in the day, officials said New York became the state most affected by the virus with 143 cases. The most recent case means at least one patient is confirmed to have the virus in each borough.''

P.S. I just saw my little mother. She just bought a TON of groceries and supplies. And she’s saying she thinks she will have to cancel her trip to Holland.

Her dumb professor did state today that sick people should not come to class and her school is gearing up for online classes.

She has a young friend at her favorite coffee place on campus. He’s been gone for two weeks. He’s in his 20’s. They won’t say why except to say it has to do with his “high blood pressure.” !!! How can a kid that age have high blood pressure?

OMG, I just recycled one today. Should have saved it! :D:eek:
Fresh out of high school, my husband (then boyfriend) went to Europe in 1971. We stayed in youth hostels, slept on trains, and an occasional hotel (I use that term loosely). A couple of hotels had a bathroom down the hall and it had a huge nail that held rough pages from a catalog.

@gitana1 , I’m trying to quote your post but the thread is moving too fast and I’m having some tech issues:

If you need pet food we can help you with that.

When is the next time you’re going out? Is there a store on the way? Many places deliver as you know. You can wipe the bag down when you get it and follow further decontamination measures I can recommend moo lol.

Seriously PM me, you or anyone else. Whatever help anyone needs just ask. We will figure out a way together.

ETA: We are websleuthers after all. We’ve got mad tech skillz AND a whole lotta heart. :)

That’s a good thing. As I’ve said, so many people don’t have the opportunity to do that, depending on your profession. Say if you’re a “manicurist” or “bartender” or “Uber driver” for example....

Are they hoarding around you? Supply shortages?

Costco’s are depleted. Otherwise no. My brother’s wife started to get scared when she went to Costco and found water, TP and hand sanitizer depleted.

This one. That's what I thought too when I saw them. China found that there's better chance of recovery when they lie face down.

Oh Gawd. If I was sick and placed face down I would have a panic attack and pass out. That happened once when I had a Swedish massage and the technician told me to turn over face down. I had to put my face in that scooped out opening ; I hyperventalated and had to be removed from the room.

I have 2 years worth of PBS magazines if I get desperate. It may be worth the $60 a year membership in more ways than one.

Thank you so much! This is a beautiful community we have here and I feel grateful about that. For now I have family who has been shopping to me and can hopefully do so if I need to quarantine. Otherwise I will order it to be shipped. But it is nice to know my friends here can help if need be!!
