Ive been watching the Stock Market for past 3 days and it is depressing. Today, it is significantly down again.

IMO, based on overall US stocks, below is my assessment on how it has done in past few days at days closing. Yesterday it started to rebound but today is bad again.

Monday - most main US Stock indexes down about 3-4% overall

Tuesday - down about 2-3% overall

Wednesday - down about 0.5%

Today (so far) - down about 2-2.5%

The amount of total money lost in stock value alone is astronomical when adding all the losses.

"Mr. Trump said that “Mike is going to be in charge, and Mike will report back to me.”

"Even during his news conference on Wednesday, Mr. Trump rejected the assessment from a top health official that it was inevitable that the coronavirus would spread more broadly inside the United States."

"Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, one of the country’s leading experts on viruses and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infections Diseases, told associates that the White House had instructed him not to say anything else without clearance."

Pence Will Control All Coronavirus Messaging From Health Officials

Gee. I hope nothing gets lost in the translation!

This is what concerns me more than anything else: That we might not get accurate or timely information if the powers that be seek to control the messaging. I'm afraid we could be headed in the direction of state-run media coverage that limits the amount and content of information shared with the public

Pence Will Control All Coronavirus Messaging From Health Officials
WASHINGTON — The White House moved on Thursday to tighten control of coronavirus messaging by government health officials and scientists, directing them to clear all statements and public appearance with the office of Vice President Mike Pence, according to several officials familiar with the new approac

SMDH to effectively silence the health professionals to get them on board. Kinda like the airplane trip back when the stories differed and someone broke rank and spoke out that CDC was against it.

I agree too as most are still perfectly fine so long as they spot check them.

Rubber can deteriorate over time and if anyone has ever had like a tool with a rubbarized handle, then you may have run into some rubber parts where the rubber gets all sticky and you cant hardly get it off your hands. I have had this happen on certain rubbarized items and I think it was probably a poor mixture of whatever rubbarized material they used on the handle.

Giving this as an example why they probably have an expiration date for items such as disposable gloves, but I 100% agree that most are probably perfectly fine still so long as they do spot checking on their huge supply to make sure they dont have any that are sticking together or disintegrating.

ETA - I see the original post was about masks and not rubber gloves. Sorry. :)

another citizen journalist is missing in Wuhan:

State Broadcaster-Turned-Citizen Journalist Incommunicado in Virus-Hit Wuhan

A former news anchor with China's state broadcaster CCTV who quit his job to report from the front line of the coronavirus epidemic in the central province of Hubei is incommunicado, believed detained.

Li Zehua, who had quit his state-approved job at the behemoth broadcaster to dedicate himself to telling the truth about the epidemic via YouTube, went suddenly off air for the last time on Wednesday after reporting being followed.

"I'm suddenly being chased down by the state security police. The car they're driving isn't a police car," Li tells the camera after being hassled and obstructed for days by local officials and security guards as he traveled around Wuhan reporting on the epidemic, including the round-the-clock operation of crematoriums in the city.

"They're chasing me, so I can't livestream any more. I will just have to leave you with this clip," Li says. "I'm in Wuhan right now. I'm driving really fast because they're chasing me."

"I'm sure that they want to hold me in isolation. Please help me!" he says.

Later, Li returned to where he was staying, but there was a knock at the door, and he eventually allowed the people outside to come in, and the camera was abruptly turned off. He had earlier claimed that the source of the virus was the P4 laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
