Clashes Break Out at Boston Common Anti-Mask, Vaccine Rally and Counterprotest
More at link
A rally against the coronavirus safety measures of masks and vaccines on Boston Common Sunday attracted dozens of protesters and about twice as many counterprotesters.

The two sides clashed at least once, requiring police to break the sides up. Officers in riot gear were brought into the area where the protests and clashes were taking place.

I'm in the cough club, too, with cough-variant asthma. I always have a rescue inhaler in my purse and Jolly Ranchers that work better than cough drops. In indoor venues like a theatre, a tiny bottled water comes in handy whenever the HVAC is running. I immediately start to feel that tickle in my throat and do my best to quell it.
If your cough interferes with sleep, you might be interested in trying one of those slanted foam rubber pillows that fit under the mattress and thus elevate your head and chest. I used to be troubled by chronic coughing and that really helped me.

I’m hoping we only see relatively minor holiday/gathering related surges pop up in the lower vaxed areas. Fingers crossed.

I'm wondering if we'll end up having another post-thanksgiving surge in the US like we did last year. We usually travel (by car) for Christmas but decided to stay home last year. Not sure what our plans will be this year, I say we should stay home but not sure my husband will feel the same way.

I think that's also helpful for snorers...

Not that I am one.

Maybe.

U.S. borders reopen to many vaccinated international travelers (nbcnews.com)

America had barred air travelers from 33 countries — including China, India and much of Europe — and had also restricted overland entry from Mexico and Canada.

LONDON — Travelers prepared for emotional reunions with friends and family Monday after the United States lifted restrictions imposed more than a year and a half ago at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

At London’s Heathrow Airport, Gail and Paul Chamberlain said they looked forward to meeting their daughter’s fiancé in person as they prepared to catch a flight to Los Angeles.

“I’m so joyful I could cry,” Gail Chamberlain, 67, said. “I’m [going] wedding dress shopping. That I never thought I would be able to do with her.”

U.S. citizens and permanent residents have always been allowed to enter. However, the travel restrictions meant that tourists, business travelers and family members were prevented from entering...

Oh boy.

I doubt that's the only incidence of this happening.

This is horrible. Why would a nurse fill the syringe and not administer it? I don’t get it! And she isn’t charged?

It is horrible. Seems to me she wasn't playing with a full deck. She should lose her nursing license.

It sounds to me there were people who wanted to claim they were vaccinated but didn't want to actually get vaccinated (we have those people in US as well). So she would pretend to vaccinate them, for them to be able to claim they got the vaccine, when they didn't.
