Did anyone get a Pfizer booster?

How were the side effects compared to the first 2 doses?

I'm getting a little nervous ....... I had put off getting the first 2 shots.

First August 2021 and second September 2021.

I had Pfizer for all three. Very little to no side effects. Arm a little bit sore but that's it. On the third dose, I was thinking I felt hot and nauseous but I think it was just my imagination. Either way, I was fine hours later.

I'm sure the government is doing their best but..so slow...

Here's What to Know About Those COVID Tests the Government Promised

President Joe Biden announced last month that the federal government will buy half a billion COVID-19 rapid test kits and distribute them free to people to use at home. But despite high public demand for tests, it will still be several more weeks before these kits are available to be shipped, White House officials said.

DOES THE GOVERNMENT HAVE THE TESTS?
Not yet. This week marked the close of an initial bidding period for test manufacturers to apply to the departments of Defense and Health and Human Services for contracts to make the tests. The first contract has already been signed, and additional contracts will be signed in the coming weeks, officials said. All 500 million kits will not arrive at the same time. They will be delivered in batches over months.
...
MY DRUGSTORE DOESN’T HAVE ANY TESTS. HOW CAN I GET A FREE KIT FROM THE GOVERNMENT?
You’ll go to a new government website to request a kit, but the site won’t be operating until after the first batch of test kits has been delivered to the government. “We’re obviously not going to put the website up until there are tests available,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said last month.
The Postal Service will handle fulfillment and shipment of tests to Americans’ doorsteps, officials said.
...
IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO GET A TEST KIT FOR FREE
Starting Jan. 15, private insurers will be required to cover the cost of at-home testing, the same way they cover the cost of PCR lab tests. People will have the option of buying tests at a store or online, then seeking reimbursement from their health insurance provider. Those with public health insurance through Medicare or Medicaid, or without insurance, will be directed to the forthcoming website to order tests or to community health centers in their area offering free testing.

My niece has passed away from multi-organ failure due to infection with the SARS-CoV 2 virus. She was only 39.

She suffered from poorly controlled diabetes and hypertension, had a very unhealthy BMI, was a smoker and declined to get a booster shot, all of which likely contributed greatly to her severe illness and rapid decline.

Take care of yourselves out there, folks.
I am so sorry! Sending prayers.

What the US can expect next from the Covid surge, according to an expert
The US has to do some hard things to beat the Omicron variant, and expert explain how we will get through - CNN

CNN: How should people adjust their approach when it comes to work, school, entertainment and travel in the near-term?
Reiner: I think that we are living in the hottest moment of this pandemic. This is the highest viral load this country has ever seen during this pandemic. To pretend that everything is open and we're going to go about our business makes no sense to me.
(We need to) tell the public that the next few weeks are going to be difficult, but we are going to get through it, and to help us get through it, everyone needs to wear a mask everywhere we go and we want people to work from home whenever they can.
It's difficult to imagine continuing to pack people into theaters. The notion that bars are open in New York City is just crazy to me. Our leadership has been unwilling to basically tell people that they have to do some hard things.

I agree so much on masking. Our leadership should do the right thing and tell people to wear a mask at all times once outside the home TO SLOW THE SPREAD.

Japan, Korea, Taiwan, they all wear masks religiously and their infection cases never grew out of control. Masks work, period.

My husband wears a mask but he doesnt believe they work-
I try to explain why and how they work, but he just does not
get it. He wears it because I insist he does.

Please advice on triple masks vs N95.

-Triple masks (Preferred by me. I feel comfortable as well as safe. Should I feel safe?)
First layer is a surgical mask. Its sides taped shut w/Nexcare clear tape, to close the gap.
Second layer is another surgical mask. (This was added after omicron)
Third layer is a larger size cloth mask covering both layers.

-N95 ( I don't feel comfortable. don't like tight head loops. I feel claustrophobic)

We should not be surprised with the massive number of cases- I think
the majority of Americans decided to travel, gather for the holidays
and party down- putting more sensible people at risk as well---it is truly disheartening and frankly disgusting how selfish and ignorant people
can be.

What is important is if there are any leaks. Breathe in and out once you have all layers on. Put your hands around the edges to check for air leakage. If not your likely okay IMO

An idea.

Look for N95 with just the ear loops since your only problem is having to wear the head loops. Be better than wearing 3 and having to tape one on etc...

Just grab one and go.

Otherwise you sound protected enough to me the way you are.

Remind him pre pandemic there was a reason Surgeons wore masks. Also other Medical Pros. when doing certain types of treatments.

He has an answer for that- he say the masks that surgeons wear are much
better quality--I told him I did not think that is the case

Thank you.
With both surgicals on (first one taped), the masks puff up when breathing out, and collapse when breathing in.
So maybe I just stick with 3 masks.
I got them ready to go at all times. All stacked, adhesive tape already applied on first mask.

Sounds like you have a good seal. Be safe.

It is my understanding it is not an N95 if it has ear loops. "The CDC says some signs of a counterfeit respirator include "NIOSH" being spelled incorrectly or the lack of an approval number on the respirator or headband. In addition, N95s specifically should use headbands, not ear loops—ones with ear loops may be real KN95s or KF94s, but not real N95s. "

N95, KN95 masks: Should you wear one? Here's where you can get them.

Poor Performance of Masks Secured Using Ear Loops

So you have three sets of ear loops?
