“I’m so annoyed, because it was so avoidable, and I’m extra pissed at myself for allowing the people who never stopped complaining about my choice to continue masking to influence my decisions about my health and my family’s health. Never again.”

Welp. At least he sounds like he learned from his mistake. (I can’t imagine being unmasked in that kind of environment- especially since covid is currently surging)
Hope it doesn’t cause him any long term issues or whatever.

I wonder how many people he singlehandedly infected? And those people, and those they infected, and so on. :(
I guess it depends on whether he actually contracted it beforehand and was contagious at CC, or whether he caught it there (meaning someone else was contagious and spreading it)

Besides warning people about taking Tylenol during pregnancy, the Trump administration on Monday raised unfounded concerns about vaccines contributing to rising rates of autism, which affects 1 in 31 U.S. children today, according to the CDC.

Any concern that measles vaccine — or other vaccines — could be linked to autism has been long debunked, stress scientists and leading advocacy groups for people with autism.

“Access to COVID-19 vaccine available for any Arizonan who wants one”

ADHS Issues COVID-19 Vaccine Standing Order Securing Arizonans’ Health Care Freedom | Office of the Arizona Governor ADHS Issues COVID-19 Vaccine Standing Order Securing Arizonans’ Health Care Freedom

That's excellent. That's better access than in the other western states where they still require risk factors if under 65, which is no better than what the FDA said. I don't get why that western alliance didn't make the same guideline as this. The flu vaccine doesn't have that extra hurdle, so this one shouldn't either. moo

Stay on topic please.

Thread is about Covid, not POTUS or Tylenol/acetaminophen.

Thanks !!

The federal government on Saturday dismissed charges against a Utah plastic surgeon accused of throwing away Covid-19 vaccines, giving children saline shots instead of the vaccine and selling faked vaccination cards.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a post on the social media platform X that charges against Dr. Michael Kirk Moore, of Midvale, Utah, were dismissed at her direction.

Hopefully this information helps others seeking the Covid vaccine.

I recently posted about the issues I was facing trying to find Moderna's mNEXSPIKE. The local (not national) pharmacy that carries it had me fill out new patient paperwork which I dropped off today. That's when I was told that my Medicare Part D insurance (Wellcare) didn't contract through them so my insurance would have rejected me receiving the vaccine.

I was like... "Huh?!?!? You have GOT to be kidding me???". All that legwork for nothing. (literally, as I was walking into pharmacies to talk directly to them)

So my word of warning is... if you're trying a new pharmacy due to having problems finding the vaccine, or have new medical insurance you haven't yet used at your favorite pharmacy... I'd make sure they accept it. This is the first time I've heard of medical insurance being rejected at certain pharmacies for the covid vaccine.

Just what the heck?!?!?

On the good side... I was able to get the vaccine I seek at my local Fred Meyer/Kroger. And they carry both Moderna's (likely Pfizer and others, I didn't ask). I was also able to make an appt 2 weeks sooner than the local pharmacy that gave me the bad news about my insurance. That was my silver lining after receiving the bad news. :)

Good luck, all!

One strange thing I encountered at that pharmacy this morning... An elderly gentleman was wanting the vaccine and upset he couldn't get it (no appts available since they are waiting for their shipment). He was going on and on about how he HAD to get it. I'm looking over at this guy, and I'm the only mask-wearer in the place. I would have thought if he was in such a panic over not being able to get it ASAP, that you'd think he'd have at least been wearing a mask. I found that puzzling. 😕

I got appointments for our Covid and flu shots at a Walmart in Medord next Tuesday. I called my mammogram scheduler and told her I couldn’t get it the 6 weeks or more ahead of time they require. She checked and I’m close enough, just a few days off. Whew.

I also need RSV and Shingrix. Walmart said I could do all 4 but would likely be pretty sick. I’m always in bed for 1 1/2 days with covid. Does anyone have any experience with doing all 4 at once? Thanks!

I am actually a clinical trial participant for the RSV and were it not for the Snoopy bandaid- I would not have known I got a vaccine. Shingrix will kick your butt a little, but not as much as shingles.

Yes, I’ve had shingles and shingrix. Both were bad. Shingrix is the only vaccine I’ve ever had a reaction to.

I did Moderna, flu, and second shingles all together.
Took me down.
I did not have a problem with Shingles #1.
Save shingles #2 for another day.
I am 60 and very tough.

I don't even get the flu vaccine and covid vaccine together. I've never had a reaction to the flu vaccine, but always with covid vaccine. And from what I have read on here over the last few years about the shingrix vaccine, I wouldn't combine it with other vaccines. JMO.

I got my covid jab last week. I was hoping to get Novavax but could not find it anywhere near me. I got it last year and had very mild side effects. I have mostly gotten Moderna before and always with strong side effects. This time I got my first Pfizer shot and it was stronger than Novavax but much milder than Moderna for me.

I am excited to finally be magnetized with the Pfizer chip!
