Coronavirus COVID-19 - Global Health Pandemic #112

So my Dr who happens to be antivax said to me at last years appointment, “please (omit name) tell me that ur mom didn’t get the vaccines and boosters”. He knows her personally. So I told him she did & I asked why he asked. He told me well she’ll be dead within a couple of years. It upset & scared me. I never told my mom. But All this to say… Turns out he WAS right. My mom died 5 months ago totally unexpectedly with no health issues. She deemed Healthy one month prior at her yearly check up. Natural cause of death. This is the 7th person I know who’ve died after the vaccine. I’m not here to bash it. I’m surly not going to tell anyone what to do. It’s none of my business. Good for the people who want them & think they help. Imo Our time is up when it’s time. No vaccine is going to keep someone alive if Gods ready for you. Luckily they’re not mandated anymore imo. No one should mandate people to inject something they don’t want. Good luck to the people who take it. I only want the best for you all. Moo imo
I’m sorry for the loss of your mother.

Ther have been over 7 million people who have died of COVID worldwide.

I just checked the most recent CDC figures and the total worldwide COVID deaths are 7,101,788 as of October 15, 2025.

Data from a phase 2 randomized controlled clinical trial indicate that the antiviral drug ensitrelvir is an effective alternative to other COVID-19 antiviral treatments, researchers reported last month in The Lancet Infectious Diseases.

The once-daily oral drug, a SARS-CoV-2 main protease inhibitor developed by Shionogi, is registered in Japan and Singapore for treating COVID-19. It has been given to more than 1 million people but is an investigative drug outside those countries and has not been compared with other COVID antivirals.

Very interesting study IMO. And a HUGE one! And this is in regards to children, so it's not like the elderly where you'd eXpect issues like this.

Rare vascular and inflammatory conditions such as blood clots, myocarditis, and pericarditis occur more often in children after COVID-19 infection than after vaccination against the disease, UK researchers suggest in a study published in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health.

The largest of its kind, the study analyzed linked electronic health records for nearly all (13.9 million) children in England.

Wow. This study is a strange one. It's a relatively small study, nowhere near as large as the the one I posted about above. I'd love to see more data on this one.

The sequence of chronic conditions before COVID-19 infection—rather than any single condition—may best predict the development of persistent symptoms

The most common sequences involved mental illnesses and neurologic, respiratory (eg, asthma), and metabolic or digestive diseases (eg, high blood pressure, obesity). For example, COVID-19 patients who had anxiety before depression had a different risk profile from those who had depression before anxiety.

"It is not enough to know which diseases a person has," lead author Natalia Blay, MS, said in an IGTP news release. "The order in which they appear can significantly influence risk, especially among women."

I hate to even read this. We recently had a very close and dear family member suffer a Psychotic Break, that required them to be restrained in the physic ward of the hospital. Other family members who are acti-vax were carrying on that it was the covid Vax that caused this to happen. It has caused another family rift. I don't believe it was the vaccinations, but this sure won't help our cold war.

I'm very sorry to hear about your family member, That has to be scary and upsetting for everyone. :(

As for what I posted... it wasn't about the vaccine. It was about the sequence of certain events that can cause people that catch Covid, can predict whether or not they might end up with long Covid.

So back to your comment about Covid vaccines... while I think they're important for people to get as they help prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death... I'd think it would be even more important to receive them for those who have the sequence of events as laid out in my post and article.

But... Covid anti-vaxxers will be Covid anti-vaxxers... I don't think anything will change their minds, sadly. :(

^WSJ report has paywall.

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention webpage that once stated unequivocally that vaccines do not cause autism has been rewritten, now suggesting without evidence that health authorities “ignored” possible links between the shots and autism.

“The claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism,” the new language states. The change was posted Wednesday and was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The webpage also notes that the Department of Health and Human Services has launched “a comprehensive assessment” to examine the causes of autism. It’s unclear what the assessment will be or how it will be conducted...

DH has attempted to book appointments for our Covid shots at Meijer, but the registration process doesn't seem to be working. He went to Meijer yesterday to pick up a prescription and asked to schedule our shots in person. Pharmacist said they don't do that but that we can come in at any time without an appointment and that there is rarely a wait. We have hair appointments on Friday, 12/12 in the late morning and will go to get our Covid shots afterwards. As of now, we have no plans for that weekend in the event that one or both of us has a reaction. Happy Thanksgiving!

The director of the Food and Drug Administration’s vaccine division told agency staff in a memo that an internal review found that at least 10 children died “after and because of receiving” the Covid vaccine.

The 3,000-word memo, obtained by NBC News, was written by Dr. Vinay Prasad, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. In it, Prasad claims that agency staff determined that “no fewer than 10” of 96 child deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, between 2021 and 2024 were “related” to Covid vaccination. He said the true numbers could be higher, accusing the agency of ignoring the safety concerns for years.

The memo, sent Friday, did not include the children’s ages or medical histories, timelines or documentation for the deaths he references and does not identify the manufacturer of the vaccine. The FDA’s findings have not been published in a peer-reviewed journal...

Anybody can write anything in the VAERS system. I want proof that these deaths did happen and that the reports were not people who hated the vaccine and wanted to blame deaths on it.

The Trump administration has named Richard Pazdur, a longtime oncology expert at the Food and Drug Administration, as the nation’s top drug regulator.

Pazdur will lead the agency’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, which regulates over-the-counter medicines and most prescription drugs. He replaces George Tidmarsh, who federal officials say resigned over a week ago after being placed on leave over allegations that he misused his authority, in a tumultuous period for the FDA.

“Dr. Pazdur is a true regulatory innovator who will help guide our broader agenda to modernize the agency and streamline the approval process,” FDA Commissioner Marty Makary said in a news release issued after The Washington Post reported Pazdur’s selection. “He has a track record of success and is an impressive forward-thinking scientist.”...

Coming after questions about Dr Vinay Prasad, I’m not following your post about Dr. Richard Pazdur. Is there some connection, other than that their last names look similar? Help an old lady out here. 😄
