Drive-up line at (Colorado) coronavirus testing lab will be cut off due to high volume

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is working to establish and communicate a cut-off point for the line at the drive-up testing site in Lowry, due to the high volume of people looking to be tested for novel coronavirus.

CDPHE is currently determining, based on resources and staff capacity, which vehicle will be the last one and whose occupants can be served Thursday.

Those who are already in line behind the cut off-point will get priority for testing Friday.

mumble mumble mumble

Something about being promisesd Two Weeks ago that everyone that wanted to be tested would get tested.

I guess I didn't read the fine print where they didn't specify in what year we would all get tested.

Wait, what?

Not understanding that one at all.

I think it means no travel between California and the rest of the nation and Washington and the rest of the nation.

Yeah, I noticed it is starting to run low in stores in my area too.
Gas stations are good places to get it that ppl don’t think of

If she submitted a flu test specimen, why did they test for novel C? Seems weird.

Because the CDC is only testing those exposed by direct contact or nursing home patients.

AND limited test kits.

Yeah, I noticed it is starting to run low in stores in my area too.
My daughter just texted me about lines in grocery story (in Hoboken, NJ) wrapped up and down the aisles. I am refraining from reminding her I told her to stock up a week and a half ago.

GEORGIA PRESSER....my notes

First death in GA
There are pockets of local transmission
The state lab can only do 50 tests per day. Next week, will be able to do 100 per day with new equipment. National firm Labcor will be helping.
They are releasing a map on their website (like South Korea) to see where the virus is reported. It will be updated every 24 hours.
Don't go to emergency room. Call your doctor for appointment so you don't infect everyone in the office.
School closings now managed by the local school systems. They can make decisions independently without calling the state.
Mayor of Atlanta - executive order that water can't be turned off.....so people can wash. School systems trying to figure out how to feed children if the school closes.
We will see many many more cases. Right now only testing critically ill.

“We should be exuding confidence nationally
(bbm)
There is alarm on Capitol Hill about the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic and the outbreak in the US.
I think we should be "exuding" expertise and an honest uniform plan that everyone can understand.

Confidence is pretty low right now, I think and I'd rather have objective health information than pie in the sky homilies to cheer me up

Wont be long until they are leaked on social media and/or You Tube. You know someone on that plane documented this.
he should be on a billboard!

WERE YOU NEAR ME?

  • #254
No. My clients need me and it’s not possible unless you’re truly sick.
DH is a psychologist and he says the same...his clients still need therapy. And he LOVES his work. I pinky swore him to stay healthy.

Also, no clients, no $$, unfortunately.

I think it means no travel between California and the rest of the nation and Washington and the rest of the nation.

I think no travel from Florida is about due.

Sometimes I wish I could resign from the human race.

Don’t say that! We have many more good people in the world than bad! I promise you.

Considering everything that’s being cancelled, I think Canada is pretty much closed for the next three weeks.
