Well think how many a larger state has? I love that Ohio spoke out and told the truth. In KY, our Gov’ likes to downplay the numbers. Even tho, as I posted earlier, we know what we know. I’m kinda surprised a county official from Harrison county has not spoken out.....but eventually the truth will be out here.
And, in all honesty, is there anyone that has not been exposed? Really?
As far as tests, I am of a dif’ opinion. I think once the labs are available the US will want to test, the numbers will look better as far as the death ratio, imo. Most people are not going to die, per scientific reports. Most will recover at home. Everyone I know that gets a cold or flu never goes to the doctor, they ride it out, recovering at home, it sounds like protocol for novel C is the same. Moo
Being an Ohioan I have so many mixed feelings and reactions. Do I have it? My husband? My kids? My grandkids? My sister? Have I been worrying for weeks about us getting it when we already have it?[/QUOTE

OHIO....the whining in the comments....wow

At the close of school on Monday is when the school closure starts until April 3. All K-12 schools: Public, private, charter. #COVID19 #COVID19OhioReady

We have a responsibility to save lives. We could have waited to close schools, but based on advice from health experts, this is the time to do it. #COVID19 #COVID19OhioReady

Governor Mike DeWine on Twitter

Governor DeWine in Ohio is really doing a great job dealing with Ohio's coronavirus situation. He is working closely with the Ohio Department of Health and an extremely broad base of constituents, including the private and public sector.

WE ARE LIVING IT....

In global disaster movies, there’s always a scientist who’s like, WE HAVE TO ACT NOW OR PEOPLE WILL DIE and some government guy who’s like, YOU’RE BLOWING THIS OUT OF PROPORTION and I’m like, NO ONE WOULD REACT TO INFO LIKE THAT IN REAL LIFE.
My apologies to those movies.

What will weddings be like? “You may rub shoulders with your bride” or “you may fist pump your bride”.

"Other COVID-19 measures by NY: Asking retired doctors, nurses to become reserves; looking to convert state buildings into additional hospital rooms; suspending elective surgery to open up more hospital beds; closing down B'way shows; enlisting more EMTs."

ME TOO.....

"I really, really want to read a story explaining exactly how the Utah Jazz managed to get their hands on 58 COVID-19 tests in a matter of hours."

@Henry2326, Perhaps they had them sent overnight from South Korea or China? Sure couldn't get them here in the US!

My friend in Tacoma just texted me that the schools are all shut down, local restaurants are empty and grocery stores are packed with people buying stuff.

I'll let you know in 4 weeks. Niece's wedding - at least it's under 200 people, so good to go, for now. I sincerely do feel for her, and any bride/groom. All the planning and the excitement for the big day gets sort of quashed by this craziness.

It hit a nursing home there, which is full of old sickly people. Most of the victims who died were in that nursing home.
Retirement centers, nursing homes, hospitals, prisons and county jails will probably be hit very hard.

If you can work from home, please do --- even if your company doesn't mandate it as many are doing in NYC and California right now. Also, an outdated chart but it's helpful in understanding how to make decisions right now as to which events to attend.

Some Michigan schools close over coronavirus fears

Prompted by the spread of coronavirus to Michigan, education leaders jumped into action Thursday, closing entire districts in some cases for up to three weeks and preparing teachers to shift lessons online so students can learn at home...

I believe Disney Paris is shut down too.

Does that mean every Disney resort and park worldwide will be shut down?

It's one of those nights....

"The World Health Organization has announced that dogs cannot contract Covid-19. Dogs previously held in quarantine can now be released. To be clear, WHO let the dogs out."

The purpose of shutting down events and schools is an attempt to for the health care system to not be so overwhelmed and to slow the spread of the virus, correct ? Will shutting things down for two weeks be enough to slow the spread of the virus considering reports from China stated some patients are still contagious after recovery and recovery can take weeks ?
