EXACTLY EXACTLY EXACTLY

One rule for the RICH

One rule for the rest

I understand and appreciate the statement! Just want to add that I am not in any way rich :p If I was, I sure as heck wouldn’t even consider traveling abroad for work...I’d be staying at home!

So far nothing in my City. It is getting closer. Cancelled social plans with friends despite them being with small numbers. I have Family in the U.S. and I worry for them. I worry for all of you. I wish plans were implemented in advance. Sadly it seems the horse has left the barn. Please know us in the North are thinking about all of you.
ETA-prayers to everyone no matter where you live

We, in the Great White North, are very fortunate to be among the last people to be hit with the virus. We have had time to prepare. We have publicly funded health care for everyone. In addition, we have local public health units and telehealth, available to all. We've had time to make sure that Employment Insurance is available, without a wait time to workers who have to stay home.

I was in the store yesterday and tp was on sale, 20% off. No one was hoarding supplies. Folks were wiping down their shopping carts before putting them away. I sensed an general awareness of the virus and social responsibility. The virus will sweep through, no doubt, but we haven't been caught off guard. We have much to be thankful for.

In 6 days, its 100k
In 12 days, its 200k
In 18 days its 400k
In 24 days its 800k
In 30 days, one month infection is 1.6 million

I don't have a link as it was on television this a.m. Not even sure what channel it was. Woman said Lysol etc. was effective and to spray surfaces and let air dry. I didn't know about the air dry part but it makes sense.

That is interesting. I always let my Lysol sprays air dry. I want to spray my whole house but the H will not let me. I just spray a few rooms.

I am happy to hear his school is closing!! My daughters BF died of an asthma attack at age 22. The risk is to great to be in public at this time.

I'm hoping the court system will close in your area, so you can finally feel a sense of relief. Have you considered going to your physician and discussing a LOA? We do still have FMLA, which entitles you to 12 weeks with job protection.

Note that although there is job protection for FMLA (Family and Medical Leave), when you return from FMLA your employer can redeploy you in other areas. Some people don't want to use FMLA for this reason. Or they are saving their FMLA in case of planned future pregnancy, severely ill family member they think they may need to care for in the near future, etc. You can only use FMLA once in a year, I think that is how it works. MOO.

@KayElJay small airports that have international flights are still regulated by Customs and Border control. Any flight coming over the border is inspected by CBP. So, a slight correction.

You really need to read the fine print on anything that claims to disinfect. Most people just spray and then immediately wipe dry (using a spray cleaner here for example)

When in fact the fine print directions might say “spray Surface and allow to remain wet for 3 minutes to effectively kill xyz germs”

this is just general info based on using various cleaning solutions over the years. There’s usually a “keep wet” time frame for effectiveness

I've read it can actually spread germs around when we wipe instead of spraying and airing dry. IDK if true though.
