If someone thinks it's a hoax why waste time in this thread? There are TONS of unsolved crimes in other forums. I know for a fact if I thought this virus was a hoax or a media hype I'd spend my time on other cases.
I'd like to keep this thread open so we can share info/facts, and encouragement to others on this thread.

Am I inferring correctly, that they are holding this man in quarantine in his own home against his will?

I hope they are guarding his home. Ever heard of Typhoid Mary refused to stop spreading his disease so they forced her into a three-decade confinement. If I was mary I would have got the gallbladder surgery and/or stayed away from cooking for others! Much better than confinement/imprisonment don't you agree?

Well just went on a toilet paper hunt- out- completely out- at Publix and Walmart - i asked when they would be getting some in- they have no friggin idea: all those people who hoarded it- who would have thought that would be the first thing on your mind??? ridiculous. There are options of course like Kleenex and napkins, even towel paper- it is not urgent at this point to get TP but i am gobsmacked that people hoarded the stuff----

Again no reports of cases in my City yet. Husband just got back from the grocery store. Said it's getting really busy as he left. He was talking to an employee we know and they said someone came into the store yesterday with a hazmat suit. Hey I am not going to judge anyone thru this mess as I don't know their story.

Salt Lake County confirms 9 new COVID-19 cases, raising Utah total to 19

“SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Health Department announced nine new cases of COVID-19 in Salt Lake County Saturday night. That brings the total in Salt Lake County alone to 14 cases.

The Salt Lake Health Department said 11 of those cases are adults over the age of 18 and three are children. Two of the children attended Hunter High School in West Valley City and Entheos Academy, a charter school with campuses in Magna and Kearns, while symptomatic. Both school communities have been notified of the potential exposure to the virus.”

Thank you for posting this. How I don't have to hunt down links

AUSTRIA

In a dramatic escalation of #covid19 response, Austria has completely shut down.
The PM warned without these measures, we'll look like Italy soon.
As of today, you can't leave your home except for necessary work/errands or to help people in need.

With Saint Patrick's Day this week, I'm betting there will be more NON social distancing. Listening to MSNBC on the car radio this morning, a guest speaker suggested moving St Pat's Day to October. JMO

Oh, for God’s sake. Can people not live without St Pat’s day for one freaking year...for the sake of humanity? Some people’s inability to take social distancing seriously is going to endanger all the rest of us. IMO.
(Sorry for rant on your post—clearly not directed at you.)

8 of my inlaws - 4 over age 55 and 4 in their mid 20s, are traveling from Wisconsin to Naples, Fl. area this week for a 2 week vacation. 3 will be flying and the rest driving. One works in a hospital, 2 are teachers and 1 works for the USDA. Another BIL and his family going on their planned vaca to Texas because they already have the tickets and hotel rooms so why waste it.

My sil called last night to chat and she was surprised our state has not closed the public schools yet because Wisconsin closed the schools already. She told me the nursing home my mother in law is in had restricted all visitors before the Gov. declared a state emergency so they are very aware there is a national health emergency.

I just don't understand it. How can they not be concerned of all the people they will interact with before and after the trip ? How can they not be concerned about all the surfaces they will touch in multiple states ?

They are all intelligent, responsible and compassionate adults in every other aspect of their lives but this virus. How can they be so inconsiderate to others and so careless with their own health ? I just don't understand .

Morning news shows have a lot of experts on from health care, public health, etc. They're all saying what is missing is federal government stepping up and taking charge on all this. Manhattan Project for supply chain, restrictions on public events, etc. Health care folks are asking for some assistance to get a handle on all this and they need more than PR campaigns telling people to wash their hands.

The "entrepreneurs" and billionaires are nowhere to be seen. Time for the Exec & Legislative branches to stop following the stock market and do their jobs. There are plans in place for this pandemic. Get started.

I’m not doing any appointments. Moo.

It sucks. I’ve been agonizing over this for weeks lol.

I sure am going to miss my perfectly waxed eyebrows....

My hair is growing out and if it needs cutting I’m cutting it myself.

So one of the prep items I bought was a box of dye. I never ever do my hair at home but thought it might be coming. So I just informed Mr. Pirate that he was going to do my roots and give me a cut. He looked at me with equal parts sympathy and horror...! LOL

Because large crowds of drunk people know how to manage social distance practices.

These leaders need to stop listening to their buddies who own bars and restaurants and do their job.

I agree. To answer your question? Folks don't remember their manners online the way that you do. Thank you for being considerate and simply respecting other's concerns and opinions.:)

Bless your heart! It's the little things that can get us. :)

Yeah & Idk why anyone finds it appropriate to cough in anyone’s space but it happened before & gonna keep on happening.
A friend of mine was at an IN casino last night, she said more people were walking around coughing than not. Of course a lot smoke so hard to know if their symptoms are from smoking or....
Then the lines at airports....omg, no social distancing going on in Chicago. I’d leave my luggage before I’d stand there 6+ hours.

It is shocking that so much is shut down here in MI yet the casinos are still open. Horrifying.
