Alright I am so confused. New Jersey is under an 8pm-5am travel ban. Right?

So, I just got this text from our county sheriff. This is why when the time comes to self isolate it will be pandemonium. All of these local mayors, governors and federal government need to be on the same page. I am about to just give up now. This would have been the perfect opportunity to let it sink in for all if they would have kept the ban.

CO. SHERIFF: AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO TRAVEL BAN/CURFEW FOR THE STATE OF NJ-IT IS SIMPLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU DO NOT TRAVEL AROUND. nixle.us/BPKMS
Governor Murphy just said that on MSNBC interview. It's a recommended curfew along with mandatory closing of theaters, gyms and other nonessential places. Starting 8pm.

In this Thursday, March 12, 2020, photo released by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), shows a package containing suspected counterfeit COVID-19 test kits arriving from the United Kingdom. CBP officers discovered six plastic bags containing various vials, while conducting an enforcement examination of a parcel manifested as "Purified Water Vials" with a declared value of $196.81. A complete examination of the shipment, led to the finding of vials filled with a white liquid and labeled "Corona Virus 2019nconv (COVID-19)" and "Virus1 Test Kit". The shipment was turned over to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for analysis. (U.S. Customs and Border Protection via AP)The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES -- Federal authorities warned consumers Saturday about fake home-testing kits for the coronavirus after customs agents intercepted a package at Los Angeles International Airport filled with vials labeled as COVID-19 test kits.

The parcel arriving from the United Kingdom this week was declared as purified water vials valued at nearly $200. But when U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspected it they discovered the labels referring to the new virus that began in China and has spread globally.''

I mentioned on the last thread that my husband had an essential follow-up appointment with a specialist today who always has a packed waiting room. He planned to tell them to call him and then go out and wait in the car. But they were already doing that with all patients! So he’s sitting in our car and a guy (who can’t read the signs not to back your car into the parking space) approached as if he wanted to talk. My husband said “Get back sir. Get back.” This guy was clearly from out in the rurals and didn’t have a clue.

His doctor was wearing a mask “because it makes the patients feel better.” He’s a super neat guy so they chatted for quite awhile about everything...which is why he always runs behind. :D

CT - FOXWOODS AND MOHEGAN SUN CASINOS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

Article below makes reference to State and Casinos 'struck and agreement' with the Tribes to close. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND WHY WAS AN AGREEMENT NEEDED? The Tribes had previously only agreed to temporary partial closures. I hope the State wasn't forced to PAY in order to get the Tribes to do the 'right thing'.......very concerning precedent here and wish the Press had been clearer about what was involved to get the casinos shut down to keep people safe!?!?!?!?

Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun to Close to Help Curb the Spread of Coronavirus

QUOTES FROM ARTICLE:

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun will temporarily close to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus, a notice from the governor’s office said Monday.

The governor’s office said they struck an agreement with the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Tribal Nations to close the casino and resort properties for two weeks as of 8 p.m. Tuesday.[BBM]

The closure is historic – Foxwoods opened in 1992 and has never been closed. Mohegan Sun opened in 1996 and also has never closed to guests.

The 110 Freeeway is seen in downtown Los Angeles, California on March 15, 2020. – Bars, restaurants and nightclubs in Los Angeles were ordered to close from midnight on Sunday until March 31 as US cities take drastic action to halt the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

“Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti imposed even stricter requirements. Restaurants may only offer pickup, delivery and drive-through service. He also closed gyms, movie theaters, bowling alleys and arcades.”

There's now a constant dialogue going on in my head. I'm an at risk senior stuck in "corona limbo" missing my old washer/dryer ownership days. I'm already feeling lazy as I self-isolate. I just want to go do laundry within my building if no one is using the laundry room on my floor.

Listen into my Mind Chatter... "if I wipe things down and wear gloves...no, you could get the virus!...oh come on, you can't wash those sheets by hand...yeah, but you might die from this decision...it's not worth it! When will I ever be able to wash my sheets, towels, and bulky items again? Maybe summer or next spring, or as soon as there's a vaccine in a year. Shut up...no, you shut up. I'm doing it...no, you can't...listen to Italy.

Every single time they say don't touch your face I am literally touching my face as I sit at the computer with my chin in my hand, the other hand on the mouse.

I'm so sorry. These are scary times. A friend just posted about her father's bypass being canceled. Again, that's something he needs. I'm very worried myself because I have ongoing medical needs that require testing regularly in a hospital lab. I can't risk coronavirus though. What are we supposed to do?

Pray. "Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

In Oregon there are about nine tribal casinos IIRC. Governor Brown said in her presser today that since each tribe is a sovereign nation, she has no control over them. But she has encouraged them to work with their own health departments to do what is best for all citizens. I expect they will close soon.

Costco used to be a fun place to shop. No more food court, no more samples, have the shelves are empty, other shelves have grim signs, "Limit Two".

No one seems to be very happy. And if someone coughs, you turn around and go the other way. It is crowded, but everyone is practicing "Social Distancing".

I just let my dogs out and heard a teenage boy say to another as they walked past "Don't kill Nan, wash ya hands."
