This is a fascinating graph comparing case distribution by age in South Korea vs Italy. The higher % of cases in elderly in Italy likely explains the higher mortality in that country. #COVID19 Carlos del Rio on Twitter

Oh well that's just great! Thousands of Spring Breakers packing the bars and restaurants. I'm sure they'll practice social distancing.
Smokey and the bandits! Bringing coronavirus to a town near you soon!

I'm thinking of all the children who have abusive parents, or no parent at all. School may have been their only 'safe' place.

I've missed a lot of pages so I'm playing catchup...I apologize if this has already been posted. This is Clearwater Beach (FL) today FULL of spring breakers. You know, spring breakers that then go back to their home towns and states bringing with them the viruses they got while not practicing social distancing on spring break.

I just let my dogs out and heard a teenage boy say to another as they walked past "Don't kill Nan, wash ya hands."
Cute, like a contemporary "Ring around the rosy".

My HOA doesn't allow vegetable gardens, not even in containers. I am looking forward to my flower garden but it's too early to plant anything.
Can our plant herbs in a sunny window ?

Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.'s provincial health officer, fought back tears at a press conference Saturday after announcing 6 new cases of COVID-19. More: http://www.cbc.ca/1.54899

''Meanwhile, local infections in China have been falling significantly since the virus was first discovered. After reporting thousands of new cases per day only a month ago, there were only 10 new deaths and 20 new cases on Sunday.

As Chinese cases drop, the country has also begun aiding Italy to fight its crisis. On Sunday, Italy's foreign minister said China will be sending 150 pulmonary respirators now and more later to help treat seriously ill COVID-19 patients in Italy, the centre of Europe's coronavirus pandemic''

Frustration... personal story...
Unfortunately, a close relative is a believer in his rights. He doesn’t think any government has the right to tell him he can’t go to a restaurant. Not able to even discuss this with him - gets angry.

Told him about Jack Ma’s donation to the US of a million masks and test kits - after this relative’s anti- Chinese tantrum. Jack Ma is Chinese. Of course, this relative had no idea Jack Ma is co-founder of Alibaba and worth about 40 billion.

Nothing to do but sit back and wonder how I could be related to such an idiot.

It happens. You can't pick your relatives. Trust me, I know

There's now a constant dialogue going on in my head. I'm an at risk senior stuck in "corona limbo" missing my old washer/dryer ownership days. I'm already feeling lazy as I self-isolate. I just want to go do laundry within my building if no one is using the laundry room on my floor.

Listen into my Mind Chatter... "if I wipe things down and wear gloves...no, you could get the virus!...oh come on, you can't wash those sheets by hand...yeah, but you might die from this decision...it's not worth it! When will I ever be able to wash my sheets, towels, and bulky items again? Maybe summer or next spring, or as soon as there's a vaccine in a year. Shut up...no, you shut up. I'm doing it...no, you can't...listen to Italy.

Every single time they say don't touch your face I am literally touching my face as I sit at the computer with my chin in my hands.

I know! I touch my face at my computer, too, as my dual-mind is fighting itself, chattering away.

Well, everyone, I did it! I went to the laundry room on my floor on March 16th at 4:30 p.m. with not a soul in sight. I drenched all surfaces with a Clorox spray and put my laundry in on HOT water. I wore a beanie, a face mask, and gloves. I'm going to dry it on hot for extra long time. I will feel so good about doing this, if I don't die because I did it.

My son is trying to get back from Melbourne, hoping to book a direct flight in the next 24 hours. Trudeau mentioned that the Canadian gov't will assist stranded Canadians financially. I'm covering the costs, but he's essentially otherwise stranded.

If anyone see more news about this, please PM me. Information is supposed to be released on Wed. Thank you

Minnesota just closed all bars, health clubs, food courts, museums, zoos, no gatherings over 50 (think movies), dine-in at restaurants. This means no I-Hop, no Cracker Barrel, no Perkins, no Chili's, no Red Lobster, and no white tablecloth places - except carry-out. Who would order a steak carry-out? And, could you get a glass of wine with that?

Can I laugh a little? At the beanie, face mask and gloves?

I was reading that good old sunshine is lethal to the virus. I live in a very sunny area and have lots of garden fences so I drape it all out in the sun to dry.
