A MASSIVE RECRUITMENT drive is set to get under way today across the Irish health service, as it gears up to deal with the expected substantial rise in cases of Covid-19 across the country.

It comes as the government yesterday warned that it expects a 30% increase in the number of coronavirus confirmed in Ireland every day.

The Taoiseach said that 15,000 virus cases were expected here by the end of the month, but that most wouldn’t need treatment. He also warned of the threat to the economy and said there could be up to 100,000 jobs lost in the coming weeks.

Went to safeway no meat, left and went to walmart this am got chicken, eggs, sugar and other items. Shelves empty of TP/PT<papertowels, went to walmart this am, then went back to safeway, one guy working meat department. I asked him about meat/beef he said how much you want? I have it in the back. 4 lbs gbeef and 4 1/2 lb eye roast.

What a relief.

Btw I felt like i was watching that game show, supermarket sweep watching ppl grab carts and taking off.

Unfortunately, the wandering homeless people are often in close contact with First Responders including EMTs, firefighters and police. It needs to be addressed.

I can't get over the.panic.that is going on, shelves.at grocery.storez.empty no toilet paper? I am not at all suggesting this isn't a concern, but do.you stop driving cause you might get.in.an accident? Where is common sense in all of this, how long is everyone gonna stay inside and hoard.food and.paper products? I.know.i will.probably get.a.lot.of grief.over.this.post.but this has.become ridiculous!!

I ordered from Instacart at Publix in Atlanta last night. No meat and limited canned goods.
I really believe that the supply chain will get sorted out soon.

I am part of the team that decides who gets to work from home in the world before this, and how to transition them successfully. What works- subconscious tricks, and structure/schedule. My SIL homeschools- and uses them as well.

Your boss may now be virtual- he/she may also video teleconference. If they use 2 way-Wear pants of some sort and a clean top.

My husband is a veteran teacher- who now is Mr Google Meet teacher. Please be mindful this is new for you, for the kids- and for the teachers. Teachers do not come to your office and tell you how to do your job- please do not tell them how to do theirs. There is no mandatory video interaction for most teachers, but he and many feel it will aid their students. Act like an idiot- and they will shut this down. There is a learning curve for everyone right now. Be nice to everyone- including yourself.

You should see the comments that this is a conspiracy to affect the election.....even a prosecutor that says this is disturbing. What's disturbing is his dismissal of human life. Our Publix Instacart is days behind- and they don't have much. Inside, Publix is looking only a bit more stocked than Walmart- and they both look like Venezuela's stores...
