Everyone needs to be very careful with all of these cleaners around pets. They leave residue on the floor, for instance, and animals lick their paws.
Good point too.

If Everyone would cooperate with guidelines, I think the crisis could possibly end sooner rather than later.
Remember Cuomo saying the biggest complaint he got was about bar closings. WTH? Really?
On top of all the other worrying I'm doing, I do worry a lot about my 2 cats and who would take care of them (and love them as much as I do) if DH and I both became really sick.

So, I decided that I will not become really sick! I hope the fates allow.

I did offer to my neighbors to take care of their new puppy and 3 cats if they ever have a need, and I'm able. I think it's a good way to reach out in some way.

I’m not going to read the article, but as I stated earlier the poor dog probably died from stress of being quarantined and tested on line a lab animal for weeks.

Someone please let me know if it has scientific/ updated info.

I’ve also mentioned the NY Post has a tendency to sensationalize throughout this ordeal and I take all their articles with a grain of salt.

We’ve had official confirmation they don’t carry the virus. I’ll find that when I get a chance.

I just happened to post that one (NY Post) but there are others, more reputable. Not disagreeing with your conclusions though.

What are yalls thoughts? Some people in my small rural town/ county are wanting to do like Dare County and block access for tourists who are flooding here and depleting our one grocery store. Some people think it’s a horrible idea that they are adamantly against. The closest hospitals are small and 45 minutes to an hour away

Our county and city declared a state of emergency Monday. This adds layers of protection/authority for the locality, including and not limited to the authority to, restricted access, restricted freedom of movement, closed any and all businesses, they can even sequester a business or building.

An article was posted on previous thread. The HHS of GA sequestered a Marriott Hotel in Atlanta, to set up I quarantine facility, to be fenced unsecured with Federal Marshals.

Several neighbors met last night, in a backyard to discuss if we had to defend/protect our neighborhood, especially if it hits LE departs. We've seen an increase in convenience store robberies, a person was robbed in their home, yesterday, had an unlocked front door and a guy walked in with a gun.

We've shared pass codes to our outside camera systems. We're keeping our car remotes at arms reach, will set off immediately for neighbor assistance, and if need, we will take turns patrolling our street, but most of it's covered by video cameras. Several neighbors have drones, never would have thought of using those. OMG, the ideas that came up, I felt like a prepper for the end of time. I slept really well last night and think we can survive this as a team. This is only in a most extreme situation, but we got this!!!

Thanking GOD for good neighbors!!!! Been here 42 years, neighborhood my husband grew up in, and lots of the "kid's" moved back when their parents died. We are a tight group.

Moo...

I wish they would give more details about all their statistics, like how many of those who tested positive even had symptoms?

Thanking GOD for good neighbors!!!!
Amen, I’m blessed with the best. Not real close as we’re rural (or was before the city expanded, lol) but we support each other.

NY is starting to look and sound like our folks trapped on the cruise ship.

Its about choices, tuff choices....

Snipped

I live in a tight-knit community too. We're especially concerned about our senior citizen neighbors who live alone and we want them to be able to reach us easily and we're figuring out a network to make sure communication is easy.

Today, we're working on figuring out who needs childcare and who can provide it.

There hasn't been any talk of crime, thank goodness. Kindness has been the prevailing topic, tbh.

I hit my critical point last night and had a complete meltdown, bawling and squeaking out some truths to someone in my household.

I seriously don't know how you've all been holding it together as you're working so hard to keep the updates flowing.

I'm working extra hard today on being kind. I have to run out and work. I had ZERO empathy left in my reserves when I went to bed last night. My prayer as I went to sleep last night was ,"God, give me enough sleep to be a nice person again."

I *think* I'm a bit calmer. Thanks to all of you for keeping us up to date!

I'm holding it together by doing those household projects I never have time for. Cleaning out cabinets. I did that for a few hours yesterday. I tossed a lot I haven't used in ages. The longer we've been in our homes, the more junk we accumulate. This is accumulate good time to force ourselves to declutter.

Hang in there!

My neighbors are deer. I just hope if someone breaks in, my dogs of leisure and luxury will go into guard dog mode. You have to know where my house is, it is not seen from the street.

In my neck of the woods, we all have guns.
