We are a huge Disney family so of course we all have our favorite Disney movies. My favorite is Tangled and the irony of that does not escape me:

Rapunzel is from the Kingdom of Corona. She was locked in her tower away from all civilization.

She was locked up for 18 years so let's hope it doesn't come to that! Although 18 months has been mentioned....

I just don't think cruise ships should be made "vibrant" with taxpayer dollars, except for workers compensation. Same with outfits which sell luxury cars, diamonds, and so forth. They are going to have to give each taxpayer 5K to make a difference. The 1K they are talking about hardly pays rent on a very cheap apartment, much less food, electricity, heating fuel, etc.
NEW:
The proposal, obtained by@ABC News, would authorize two $250 billion rounds of direct payments to individual taxpayers, with the first payment issued beginning on April 6. Another wave would be distributed to taxpayers beginning in May 18.

The Treasury Department on Wednesday pitched the details of President Donald Trump's $1 trillion economic stimulus proposal to Congress, representing his top priorities for phase three of the federal government’s response to the new coronavirus pandemic.

The proposal, obtained Wednesday by ABC News, would authorize two $250 billion rounds of direct payments to individual taxpayers, with the first payment issued beginning on April 6. Another wave of payments would be distributed to taxpayers beginning on May 18.

“We are also playing with a lot of numbers, a lot of very big numbers and a lot of very small numbers, frankly,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “We have to help everybody. It was nobody's fault. This happened. I mean, some people could say it was somebody's fault, actually. But it was nobody's fault, and certainly none of these companies that all of a sudden had no passengers in planes and had no passengers on cruise ships, and all of the things that have happened, but I will say that they can't be blamed for this. And we want to keep those companies vibrant.”

Treasury details $1T Trump stimulus proposal, outlines timing for sending checks to Americans

President Trump refused to place a dollar amount on the payments during a news conference Wednesday afternoon, although Treasury proposed for the payment amounts to be fixed and tiered based on income level and family size, and each round of payments would be identical in amount.

Ottawa Senators player is NHL’s first confirmed coronavirus case

The NHL has its first coronavirus case, and the league is monitoring the situation closely but, as of now, not requiring that all players get tested.

An Ottawa Senators player tested positive for COVID-19 late Tuesday. The team did not release his name and said he had mild symptoms — which had caused him to get tested — and was in isolation.

My six month dental checkup is for Friday. The office called to cancel it this morning saying they would be closed into April.

To be on the safe side, I rescheduled the appointment for May.

Hi,
I would definitely pass.
jmo
I think all of the worlds governments and leaders are trying to communicate just how incredibly easy it is to contract/spread Covid19 and it is also quite dangerous and deadly once you have it. I just wouldn't risk it! I have been following these awesome posters here from day one~ hunker down, save lives~:)

What are your thoughts on this:

My gym instructor is offering outdoor workouts at a local park. Everyone would bring their own mat and weights and would be stationed 6 ft apart.

I really miss this class so I'm weighing the pros and cons.

(ha..."weighing" the pros and cons...no pun intended :D)

NJ Jersey Shore
Case count passes 30 in Monmouth, four new cases in Ocean

Statewide, 162 new COVID-19 cases sent the state's overall count to 427 as of Wednesday, Gov. Phil Murphy said. In Monmouth County, the case count grew to 32, the fifth-most of any county in the state.

There were eight cases in Ocean County as of Wednesday afternoon, according to state health officials.

"This is increasing with a pretty steep curve as we had expected," Gov. Phil Murphy said at a news conference.

Cases of the novel coroanvirus at the Jersey Shore continued to grow Wednesday as officials announced eight new cases in Monmouth County and four in Ocean County.

State health officials said two individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, the illnesses caused by the new coronavirus, had died over the past day, bringing the state's death toll from the outbreak to five.

One of those patients was from Essex County and the other was from Hudson County. They were both older than 60 and had other preexisting medical conditions, officials said.

Thanks that great information.

Keep in mind COVID 19 doesn't care about the size of the country, only finding a "host" to live in.

Size don't matter. The more people you have, the greater the spread.

IMHO.... The CDC and the President and some governors are doing everything they can to encourage folks to prepare for a lockdown and to stay home NOW. The lockdown question is ask everyday, in my state and the Presidents presser. The answer is always, that option is on the table.

Its coming...maybe this week. Today, Trump will enact the Defense Production Act. The DPA is the MOST powerful act. They can now seize land/property, manufacturing plants, all available stock and warehouses. Things are going to start rapidly happening, the military are preparing to step in.

Change is a coming and some of it we ain't gonna like...

Have food and CASH.... Forget the dang toilet paper....
MOO...
And no November election. (Where do I have my copy of The Handmaid's Tale?)

There will never be 100% containment and eventually, we will all be exposed. The goal should be to lesson the infection rate to a manageable level. I fear that goal is already misplaced.

Giant Virus, Awakened From 30,000-Year Slumber, Is Still Infectious

As permafrost melts off, more ancient viruses are getting a new start on reproduction. As the article states, it's impossible to know if small pox is actually eradicated or not.

Hopefully this is a trial run for the future, but to think we're going to "contain" CoVid-19 is IMO overly optimistic. I can't imagine how it will ever be eradicated. It's going to remain an issue for the elderly.

I am very lucky that my college daughter and her friends have good heads on their shoulders. I have friends whose kids are currently gallivanting around Florida for a week at the beach. Someone said to me: they are adults now, what can we do?

Here's a thought: take their cars, take their phones, take everything YOU pay for and say, "If you are an adult, you can act like one and that starts with ME no longer paying for YOUR stuff."

EXACTLY!

Food cooked to 140 degrees... kills this virus. Other then salads and sushi, nearly all food is cooked well past 140 degrees. We use stone ovens that cook at 600 degrees.
We're lucky right now, our town has really been supporting us. Take out and to go orders only. Yesterday was one of the busiest Tuesdays since the summer.
We know it won't be like this every day.
Just very happy are customers are looking out for us.

Oh LOVE food cooked in a stone oven !!!

I am so pleased, the community is supporting you. Our neighborhood has gone all out for our local dinner. They are our neighbors, also.
