Has anyone heard or been able to verify, that many Chinese people travel to Italy and work in the garment factories. Because of their travel between countries, that is why Italy was hit so hard? I have heard this rumor several times...still searching for a good verification.

Made in Italy, by Chinese workers

And yet visitors are not restricted at all from coming to Hawaii, almost all of our cases have been Tourists :((((( And they’re still coming as of today

The governor needs to step up, and stop tourist activity. He has the power to shut down the airport.

If he does indeed have the power then he is failing us

It just burns my *** that 1 of them was recorded at some fundraiser 4 weeks ago warning about the coming "pandemic" (don't think that word was used) and they withheld the info from ordinary citizens knowing full well what was coming. And in turn profited off withholding said info. ETA: This has been out for public consumption as of this morning.

It was discovered a bunch of people in Congress did it before the financial crisis. IIRC, nothing happened to them because there is no law against it.

Editorial: Coronavirus makes jails and prisons potential death traps. That puts us all in danger

Despite the worldwide consensus on the best measures people can take to protect themselves from the coronavirus, there are more than 2 million people in the United States who cannot practice social distancing, are prohibited from using or even possessing hand sanitizer and who cannot wash their hands without permission.

Certainly this is a crisis for the inmate population, and of course it is a crisis for their families, whom they will be rejoining. But it is a crisis as well for the rest of us for two distinct reasons:

First, they are part of our community, and we as a society are responsible for their safety during the period in which we have locked them up with no ability to practice the protective measures that the rest of us do — the distancing, the hand washing.

And second, for those observers who might shrug over the fate of prisoners, it is important to remember that inmates are released every day to rejoin the rest of us..... "

o_O...Please ignore these attachments, I don't know how they got on my post, I did not put them here, can't get rid of them...

Yes I do remember that. But this seems like a deliberate withholding of an impending health crises to profit. May God have Mercy

I am sure many will echo the words, "I don't take responsibility at all."

I see no difference. The financial crisis devastated the entire world too. It's enraging and I can't believe they are still allowed to do it.

The difference is profiting from inside knowledge of a black swan event that may kill millions, while representing to the public, as elected officials, deliberate falsehoods.

@Cool Cats think of the additional stress on prison staff, especially with an indefinite inmate lockdown.
