NY

Gov Cuomo:

I was in NYC yesterday
Density level in NYC that was wholly Inappropriate in certain areas (esp Parks)
Insensitive, arrogant, self-destructive, disrespectful to others And
It has to stop now!

NYC has to develop an immediate plan NOW to stop it
And I want the plan in 24 hrs!

He has excellent delivery, imo. Idk what part of his info can escape anyone? Just blatant disregard.
Now we see more & more kids diagnosed positive, which appalls me, due to the number of children taken out for no reason, other than to get out of the house.

*his comment about his dog.....too funny. I think my elderly dog is tired of me, lol.

It now means that there are 913 confirmed cases on the island of Ireland with the North reporting 20 new diagnoses today, bringing the total there to 128. A second death has also occurred in Northern Ireland.

With the numbers increasing, social distancing continues to be important, even today, on Mother’s Day. The HSE is urging people to continue to comply with Covid-19 guidelines.

Here are today’s main Covid-19 points:

  • 102 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Republic last night, bringing the total number to 785.

I’m wondering why the liquor stores are open. If many are suffering from loss of finances, maybe they should by staples?

I can get a wine delivery here, w/in an hour and w/out an issue

Yet I cannot get paper goods, basic supplies nor a very basic food delivery order w/ ease

Ireland places huge orders for Covid-19 testing equipment and face masks

HUGE ORDERS HAVE been placed for Covid-19 testing equipment and protective gear for staff, Ireland’s top health service official has said.

The massive increase in demand is due to everyone with coronavirus symptoms being asked to self-isolate and await a check.

Almost 40,000 sample test kits are being distributed. Another 20,000 will be in Ireland by Wednesday, the health service said.

Bottom line, imo: most people are only concerned for their family, wanting all of the TP & bottled water, not the least concerned about anyone outside their circle of friends/family. Yes, we hear of people helping people cases but just like Cuomo laid out here, parts of the city act as if nothing’s going on. I think every city USA has the same issue.

Stay at home to stay safe, 1.5 million advised

Letters are being sent to 1.5 million people in England most at risk of coronavirus, urging them to stay home.

Those most at risk will receive letters or text messages strongly advising them not to go out for 12 weeks to protect themselves, the government said.

It comes as the PM asked the UK not to visit loved ones on Mother's Day, and follow social distancing guidelines.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan asked people to heed the advice, saying "do it for loved ones who will die if you don't".

The number of people who have died in the UK with coronavirus rose to 244 on Sunday, as cases topped 5,000.

Boris Johnson has called on the public to join a "collective national effort" and follow social distancing guidance, warning the NHS could be "overwhelmed".

At-risk people include those who have received organ transplants, those living with severe respiratory conditions such as cystic fibrosis or those who have specific cancers, such as blood or bone marrow.

Coronavirus: 'Unprecedented scenes' on Welsh hills

Coronavirus: 'Unprecedented scenes' on Welsh hills

Car parks and trails could be shut to stop people from visiting Snowdonia National Park after "unprecedented scenes", according to bosses.

There were so many people on mountain summits on Saturday it was "impossible to maintain effective social distancing".

Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons and some Welsh beaches were also busy.

Welsh ministers are considering their legal powers to force people to stay away during the coronavirus outbreak.

It comes as seven more people in Wales died after contracting the virus, taking the total number of deaths to 12.

Gov Cuomo:

Cuomo wants the FDA to start approving serological testing for COVID10 antibodies ASAP

Fine, just make sure they use the Right test, one that tests specifically for SARS-CoV-2 and not just all coronaviruses. There are multiple other coronaviruses that regularly circulate so having a test that was positive for the general class of coronaviruses would give very unhelpful information. At this current time, I believe the "serologic" test being promoted is only a general screen and not specific for SARS-CoV-2.

I see a lot more booze commercials too.
I don't know if there are more booze commercials, but I do know - it's like that "ah ha" moment - THAT's what I forgot!
