As far as science goes, I get it. But is it especially useful or a good use of resources to get that hindsight now? Genuinely wondering.
It could help tremendously, if they knew people who had the virus and recovered. They can use their antibodies to make serums and possibly vaccinations from their blood.

Central Fl will be testing anyone with symptoms. Big smile here. Not just the wealthy retirement community with golf carts.

Sorry, I have a sister with cancer who had a sore throat a week ago. She hadn't been tested. She has chemo this Tuesday. There are many who haven't been tested that need tested that haven't been or are of less means. jmo

I agree about keeping these small businesses going. You need to keep those jobs. Many of them will still not survive, but I would make small business a high priority in this Senate bill.
Lol. I’m an old sewing lady now, I guess, because that’s what I’ve been doing the last 3 days in a row - making masks.

You are a true patriot! :)

Sending financial relief to the small business is the same thing as giving it to the people. If all of our businesses go bankrupt, the people will be in very bad shape themselves. JMO

It is hard for me to understand why industries like cruise lines should have government bailouts, when their CEO's get paid over $22 million a year. The ships are not registered in the United States, and many of their employees are not United States citizens.

I have 100 percent support for our truck drivers and have always have had respect for this dedicated group of folks. When I was a little piglet, I wanted to be a truck driver.
@Kensie go to bed dreaming you are driving a big rig filled with junk food, lol! Sweet dreams.
Are you able to walk to a drive in restaurant? Well, I guess most have closed for the night.

With so many being asymptomatic carriers, and more that have mild symptoms, it would be great to identify those people. People that have antibodies will be able to go back to work without fear, instead of sitting at home needlessly.

Well, Rand Paul is one of them-he is supposedly asymptomatic. This is such a weird disease. Some people are asymptomatic and some are dying.

Just scared for our nurses!

Good article in Toronto Life Magazine about what the ICU nurses are facing in the coming days.

Bless the medical people for even showing up, given the risks they are taking.

In the US, the retirees drawing SS are safe, imo, and have no losses, that I can think of. They receive a static amount & will continue doing so. Moo.

I am sorry, but that simply is not true. We have suffered tremendous losses. Family members we have been supplementing will suffer.

DH and I are under incredible financial stress, and we are not alone.

Oh if the restaurants adjoin a vacant lot, truckers might be able to get in and turned around. If the drive in services close, they will be forced to make other arrangements.

That’s great when there is one, but there are long stretches with nothing but fast food. There were always semis parked in the adjacent lot when I fed ferals by a McDonald’s. They absolutely do stop there. And now they can’t actually sit down in the restaurants that are within some of these truck stops. The road just got a little more cruel for them. I appreciate those who are making efforts to make it easier for them.

I absolutely agree, but I also believe that all Americans should be entitled to and receive the same tests and/or treatment as our government officials. If you or I, or our family members were feeling unwell, I would want you, your family members, my DH and I, and our extended families to be given the same opportunities to be tested and/or treated if and when the need arises. I've "known" you here on Websleuths for a long time, and I hope and pray that you and your loved ones are and stay well.
Thank You. So far we are all symptom free. I wish the same for you and your loved ones...

I totally agree that ALL Americans should be entitled to same treatments and testing. However we have 332Million people in this large country. It takes a lot more resources and time to get up to speed than countries like Singapore, with a 6 million population.

We are at a definite disadvantage in that way. JMO

Did your SS check stop? I had heard SS would not be affected.

The onset of allergy season adds further chaos, imo.
Plus, it will be difficult to get an appointment for seasonal meds, I think.

Cruise ship with 1,700 passengers on board won't be allowed to dock in Western Australia after 250 people report 'respiratory illness'

Premier Mark McGowan says more than 1,700 people are on board the MSC Magnifica cruise ship.

'I'm advised all passengers are from overseas - Germany, France, Italy. This morning I contacted the Prime Minister and have spoken to the Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton, to explain my priority is to protect West Australians

It sounds like you haven't tried to live on your SS payments.
