Good question, and it sounds as though the person proposing it today is keeping it vague for now. So I can't help

Do these doctors really think that any of the country's Governors and Mayor's would go along with that idea if in case it happens?

I really doubt that even one state or local leader would. Those doctors need to not worry about this open by Easter fantasy and instead concentrate on helping people who need medical care. JMO

It might be like here in Scotland we have to stay home and everywhere is closed apart from supermarkets and pharmacies.

Right, and the leader proposing it is suggesting it for the epicenter (NY) as well as two neighboring states (NJ , "parts of Connecticut") Other states already require self-quarantine for NY travelers, which makes total sense. Right now, the governors everywhere are most relevant, and that's who I watch the most.

Trying to... but they cannot get through the Panama Canal. This is one of the reasons that there are so many cases in Miami-Dade county...so many younger cruise ship workers who disembarked with no symptoms, tranversing different ships. This industry is dead for a long time ....

Why doesn't the ship go to California? Florida has enough headaches.

”Do we see a pattern here? If your state government has asked you to stay home (and even if it hasn’t), please do...no visiting, no travel, no non-essential work. STOP THE SPREAD to “Flatten the curve” so our health care system is not overwhelmed like Italy and NYC. Go to cdc.gov and your state website for more info. Thank you from (our names) who are in the risk group.“

It had come to my attention that local friends were visiting and continuing to work at their non-essential self-employment and one family from CA had traveled to a state with few cases to visit family. And these are all smart people.

I'm sure they appreciate the heads' up, then. And hopefully would be forced to quarantine in whatever state they landed in. But even so, at this point, the infection genie is out of the bottle for the US, IMO. I'm guessing there are no untouched areas in the US, - just areas that aren't shut. JMO, and I wouldn't know for sure.

Five major banks and state-chartered institutions in New Jersey will offer a 90-day grace period on residential mortgage payments for borrowers impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Saturday.

Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, US bank, Wells Fargo and Bank of America agreed to this grace period where borrowers can either reduce or delay their monthly mortgage payments.

Another 40 other federal and state-charted banks and credit unions also agreed to this mortgage forbearance period.

This grace period cannot harm anyone's credit rating, and institutions will not charge any late fees or other costs.

Moratorium on foreclosures and evictions

The measure mirrors what California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced earlier this week, though Murphy said he thinks New Jersey is the first state to make this agreement with Bank of America.

"Now is the time to do even more," Murphy said. "I urge and expect our financial institutions and credit card companies to do the right thing in all areas of their business, including lowering credit card interest rates, waive late fees, and exercise compassion when people call with financial hardship."
