According to the official count, the COVID-19 outbreak is growing rapidly in Ontario. But even as the number of confirmed patients has gone up sharply this week, a Star analysis has found the outbreak may be one-third larger, or more, than has been officially reported.

As of Friday morning, the province has reported a backlog of more than 10,000 patients who have been tested for COVID-19, but have not yet learned whether they have the virus.

Thanks so much Henry. I wasn't going to say anything but I am home on Isolation. I was notified Thursday of exposure to positive result folks. I was exposed March 19th. I am well as is my Husband. No symptoms at all. Health Unit here has been amazing with support thru calls. I dont want to worry anyone as we are fine and going to be fine. Husband and I are keeping apart for the duration. He is at the front of the house and I am at the back lol

It is interesting, that these folks got on the ship on March 7th.

How terrifying for the other cruisers. I have been on a few cruises and loved them but now I am finished with them. These people that went on the cruise probably did not want to waste their money and took the chance. I will admit though, back around March 7th, I was not reading the news. I generally do not read the news and now I am glued to it. I became glued to it around March 12th.

I was worry about the humidifiers too. I thought the Abel's on the Diamond Princess had one and it was thought that it could have also contained or attracted the virus?

Personal humidifiers must be cleaned & sanitized on a regular basis, not a fun or easy task.
When I had a very odd virus in January, my ENT told me to use one, I started that night & the relief was instant. I had a headache like none before & upper respiratory probs & was told it was viral & treat at home, negative for flu. Lol, a couple WSers I PM with recall how sick I was, now I think we had our own pre Covid Covid convo. I literally never get sick, never have & after a few days at an IN casino, I thought I would die. Interestingly, the casino was hosting a conference that was made up of a large group of Asians, I actually spoke with several at the slot machines. I’m 100% certain I had Covid....my ENT/allergist & GP we’re clueless, one sending me to the other. Once I had symptoms I know I didn’t pass it on, I was too sick to even answer my phone, let alone the door.

I like this idea. I think it is easily enforceable, show an ID.
As far as tracing, a friend of mine in MI and a few in her circle rec’d phone calls from the state health dept, over a week ago. They were advised of possible exposure, date/time. It was easy to trace them using receipts from public places. I suppose the cc/banks give personal info out (ph number) in such a crisis. Also, the first person in a cluster of friends might provide names/numbers. My friend lives rural, in Oceana county, but was in the Muskegon area when exposed. I think today is 8 or 9 in isolation. She’s wondering if she’ll ever be able to leave home again, the way MI is getting hit.

I wonder if part of this might have to do with tracing community spread? It could be easier if there was some sort of order to help things along. IDK, just a thought. MOO

Thanks so much. We are good. Day 9 since exposure and no symptoms. I am being paid until April 4th and we all received a bonus. I took the 30 day optional lay off effective April 4th. I think it's time to retire, when my 30 days are up I wont be going back to work. I had been pondering it anyway and this just sealed the deal.
