I notice that the article specifically references combustible cigarettes, not vapes. I find that interesting as vaping has been shown time and time again to cause very rapid lung failure and people as young as teenagers needing lung transplants.

I have smoked cigarettes for almost 20 years and i will say that a ban on cigarette sales is a terrible idea. Very bad. I know if my state did this, the run to buy cigarettes would be insane and since i live close to the border, I'm sure a lot of people would cross the border to buy where they are not banned. I feel like this could incite violence if supplies are limited and the person in line in front of you buys 10 or 20 cartons leaving none for anyone else.

Well, Gov. DeSantis helped these well-heeled folks get a mobile testing station, right in their gated community, anyway (symptoms or not). For those who don't live in pricey golf villages? Good luck. Based on the article below, at least there are apparently 2,000 tests available for the homebound (symptoms or exposure only).

Small victory here at home. I found a chocolate bar in the back of the bread drawer. I took half and left hubby half. Biggest decision today is what time to have my shower. 4 p.m. is temp check time. Hubby playing solitaire on his laptop. Oh and what pr. of jammers to change into from the ones I am in

Some article on Fb quoted a nurse who stated that they appreciate the homemade mask but recommends that the front and back of the mask have different design/color so that they can distinguish the difference and not reuse the “dirty” side. I thought that was an excellent idea.

I think the idea behind it is that if a smoker is afflicted with the virus, the odds of them requiring a ventilator go down after quitting for a period of time.

I’m not saying I agree with it, just pointing out the apparent logic behind it.

Exactly, after a period of time. I'm waiting for an expert in pulmonary medicine to weigh in on this who doesn't have a political motive or who doesn't just preach to stop smoking. I would ask my pulmonary doctor to give me her opinion but she is too busy treating patients.

I found my next door neighbor dead a little over a month ago (not CV19 related). My husband just stopped the neighbor behind her from mowing her yard and leaving a bill in her door (we are the property caretakers now). He had no clue she had died. We all pay so much attention to our neighbors. Jmo

Yes. I think it's in order now, and would do it myself if I could do it in a way that doesn't endanger others. I'm still haunted by the GA mammogram technician, Dedra Wilkes, whose 5-year old son was found alive with her body after about 16 hours.

By the way, I am sorry you had this experience. I can't imagine what that would be like.

I think there is enough evidence that smoking is bad for you. You don't need to wait for an expert in pulmonary medicine to tell you that.
