Foster a senior dog! More available, less likely to get adopted, less "issues" You could foster and the fur baby might never leave. And that's ok! You made room for another dog and saved a life, letting the senior experience love, and snuggles, the good life for the rst of it's days!

My parents are older and just adopted in January, a small mutt type dog "Duke", only 10 months old. They love him very much and he seems to have adjusted well. He keeps them busy as I heard they had to put the tp up high!

I am not a FL resident but I agree with you. So many tourists, cruise ships etc. People love Florida and I am one of them. The first few years after my brother moved to Florida he had endless guests !!! I think FL has been over-exposed to the virus but that is JMO.

Watch what they do, not what they say....all these CEOs pranced across the stage 2 weeks ago claiming they were going to do this......they are letting us down and this is a matter of life or death. All I can assume at this point is that it was a huge advertising event because they clearly have not followed through.

I am not going to assume they were just having an advertising event. They got 5 sites up and running. I assume more will quickly follow.

I am thinking it is just taking longer than they want it to.

And characterising them as 'prancing' is telling, imo.

This is just so scary...this is no plan for the United States of America.. this is just another knee-jerk response to appease MY governor of Florida....... come on folks, we are one country....there may be slightly different elements but there must be ONE overall plan.........This is just so awful. It illegal too! I know, i know..........no debates but we are such a strong viable country ..........can we just have a strategic overall plan in place. Well developed plans always involve contingency emergency changes. We desperately need STRONG Command and Control Logistics. Where are they???? I am so scared for our future........ so scared.

A Northern California company is working around-the-lock to fix 170 busted ventilators received by the state from a federal stockpile, officials said Saturday.

The equipment — crucial in treating COVID-19 patients — arrived Saturday at Bloom Energy in San Jose and should be working and dispatched to Los Angeles County by Monday, said Gov. Gavin Newsom.

"Rather than lamenting about it, rather than complaining about it, rather than pointing fingers .. we got a car and a truck and we had those 170 brought here," Newsom said at the company. "That’s the spirit of California, that's the spirit of this moment."

WASHINGTON —President Donald Trump backed away from earlier comments Saturday that he was considering enforcing a quarantine in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area after state officials questioned whether Trump had the authority to implement a quarantine and accused him of creating confusion.

Instead, he said he will have the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issue a "strong Travel Advisory to be administered by the Governors in consultation with the Federal Government," he tweeted.

"A quarantine will not be necessary," Trump tweeted Saturday night. "Full details will be released by CDC tonight."

Earlier Saturday Trump sparked confusion when he told reporters as he was leaving the White House for Norfolk, Va., that he was considering an “enforceable quarantine” in the tri-state area because he was concerned New Yorkers were traveling to places like Florida and spreading the virus.

Trump had been on the phone just minutes before with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, but did not bring up the possibility of the federally mandated quarantine, according to Cuomo.

“I didn’t speak to him about any quarantine,” Cuomo said during a press conference. “I don’t even know what that means.” “I don’t know how that could be legally enforceable. I don't even like the sound of it.”

Bravo to Newsom! The equipment was not intentionally busted. Complaining is an insult to all the workers who are driving those trucks, working in the hospitals, delivering groceries, etc.
