This is the problem you no longer know who to believe.

When the information about the various stimulus packages first comes out, there is often a fair bit of confusion. The parameters are changing as the details get worked out. I wouldn't be too concerned about hearing different information. It will settle out.

Perhaps they have stopped reporting to the WHO.
I looked at the chart again and apparently China reports differently than other countries.

If you click on the "yesterday" button you get 36 new cases and 7 new deaths. Wow, it's pretty much all over in China.

Their product is guaranteed to kill Covid germs from surfaces, lmbo.
Oh.........snake oil types are about again I see.....b

Why is China's "new deaths" column blank?

The chart roles over at the start of the day (international dateline). We haven't finished our day and their day is just getting started.

Feel free to disagree, but I find it barbaric to not let a ship dock, with people dying of a disease. I know Florida has their own problems, but you find a way to end that situation, not punt. I never could imagine such issues in the States, and the disregard for life. There are people on those ships that are not sick too.

Thank you., again.

Just saw this announced:
NEW: The Trump Administration is now saying seniors on Social Security must file a tax return to get a $1,200 check. This extra hurdle means millions of Americans will likely miss out on the payment
A boon for CPAs!

The end result will be mass evictions, leaving empty complexes, imo. Obviously the landlord has hefty debts, including mortgages, insurance, taxes & payroll, to mention a few. After the pandemic ends, delinquent notices will be issued, then the tenant will be so far in the hole they will not be able to catch up. I think a lot will stay as long as they can without paying. Every big city will face this issue, I think. Moo
What are they planning - cheat the home owners out of the rent? Are they also going to move out, or are they simply protesting rent payment because they might get away with it?

What do you think of the "yesterday" report from China showing 36 new cases and 7 new deaths.

Treasury reaffirms Social Security and Railroad beneficiaries who don’t typically file taxes will not have to file a tax return to get economic stimulus checks, as we’ve said on @AliVelshi. Will deposit directly in bank accounts using info from SSA-1099 and RRB-1099.

i wonder if this whole controversy....yes file, no file, isn't some turf war in the admin. Why shouldn't checks be sent out exactly as ss monthly payments are, to our bank accounts. Why should a person have to file just to give the gov bank routing info, they already have it. The only thing I can think of is that the gov can't calculate your total income from the amount of your ss check. So it appears that they are giving ppl who never file, the benefit of the doubt. Ie if they never file they probably don't earn enough to pay taxes. Some ppl will always have been cheating, there are ways to check, but it's not worth the time to catch a few ppl.

Hey everyone, I was flipping channels, stopped whe I saw Chris Cuomo talking with AC! When Chris’s show begins in appx 5 minutes, he’s revealing his wild night, the wildest he’s ever had, due to Covid. He looks better, imo & seems to feel well. No link, turn your TV on, if interested.

eta: he said he feels much worse than yesterday, must be a pro at applying his own make-up or mastering his basement lighting.

Here's some front-line reporting. I am nearly done paying off my giant student loans from law school. I consolidated them a few years ago into a private loan so none of the advertised government forbearance would apply.

I called the loan company today to ask what I would have to do if my business slowed down and I needed to reduce my payments temporarily. Without me even asking, they volunteered to skip my April payment and told me to call back in 30 days if I needed to request another "hold." They said if I wanted to pay anyway, I could always make an optional payment on the loan online at any time.

So if you know anyone struggling that has student loans, the lenders are being very accommodating. It is a good time to call and get ahead of it if you could better use that money for other essentials right now.

Maybe the Treasury didn't have the bank information to do a direct deposit for everyone and they have now come up with a way for the Social Security Administration to give them that info. JMO.

I’m astounded from reading FB of local gov’t as well as comments from Msm sites how many people think the Covid is cool as it means unemployment, vacation, stimulus, no rent, etc. I’d prefer to work two FT jobs & have my health than $1200 & an opportunity to stiff my landlord. Jmo

The IRS had a a-ha moment. Oh! we can just take the information from SSA-1099. Thank goodness.
I’m sure there was some reasoning behind it, but I’m glad they reversed course.

Like probably everyone in the US, I hate the IRS. I’ll give them a pass though, because this whole thing is unprecedented. The bill came together in a fraction of the time that something like that would normally take, and now they’ve got to figure out how to actually process all these payments.

Small company in Texas town could have new solution to ventilator shortage

A ventilator in the form of a helmet Cost $162.00

With the shortage of ventilators a critical issue in the battle against the coronavirus, one small business in the town of Waxahachie, Texas, is stepping up with an innovation that could be a game-changer.

This guy is remarkable. If you want to feel better, watch this all the way to the end, folks. This is the kind of morale boost we need.

Perhaps they have stopped reporting to the WHO.

Every day all of the columns are reset to zero. The US clock reset no tells us that the average new cases per day is 20,000 with 800-1000 deaths per day. I think both numbers will continue to increase.
