I can't really control what police in Colorado do or don't do. And how fast they do or don't do it.
I wasn't expecting you to do anything about this. Don't you feel that LE is dragging their feet in this matter?

If they don't immediately crack down on things like crowded restaurants violating the law it encourages further dangerous behavior. JMO

They should act when the crime is in progress, not later. JMO

I am not sure it is a crime, though. Failure to follow Health and Safety Codes are Code Violations and police can intervene, but I'm not sure that this is more than a civil infraction. It's all so new, and certainly no such change has been made to the Criminal Code in California.

Some parts of other codes bear criminal penalties (Traffic Code for example) but again, no law has been passed in California - this is violating an emergency declaration. The courts will have to figure out what to do.

Maybe you should focus on the stories where the police did nothing. We've got police chiefs announcing they will do nothing to enforce shut downs. You do realize this all varies by local jurisdiction, just like everything else?

California prefers community policing, not "crack downs." And we're doing okay with CoVid, so it's working.

The number of cases more than doubling in NYC tonight

"In NYC, 38 children now falling ill with Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome, 85 cases across NY state."

There are 9 additional cases in New York City that are pending and 1 death.
Six states reporting cases."

In Washington State, Anthony Lawson's mother talks about her son, 13-year-old Anthony, who nearly died. Anthony tested negative for the virus, but positive for antibodies.

NYC, 14 year-old Jack McMorrow and his father discuss what Jack went through (video)

"14-year-old Jack McMorrow loves music and video games. Two weeks ago, a rash on his hands quickly led to a fever of over 104 degrees. He was rushed to the ICU and tested positive for COVID-19. John McMorrow is his father..

“His heart rate was over 160. It was the scariest point in my life, there was nothing anyone could do, they prepared me for the worst,” John said.

Jack finally responded to steroid treatment. Doctors continue to monitor his heart function at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York. Dr. Steven Kernie oversees the ICU there. "

What about the customers? Were they fined?

No.

They had done nothing in violation of any emergency policies in California. Each County has its own rules about who can gather. Mostly, the State just recommends (but it can and did shut down certain state services). Fresno County has rules that this man violated.

But the customers were merely stupid and trying to make their ridiculous point about CoVid being a hoax and unfortunately, there are no laws against that.

Maybe the laws should affect everyone and not just business owners.

If everyone faces the same consequences it would go a lot further in gaining compliance.

This is horrible! How can anyone think of schools reopening when this is a risk for children?

So has the virus mutated, into a new virus that is causing harm to children? Or have the problems been there all along, but they were just never associated with Coronavirus, and now a connection is being made?

Either way, we're in deep....

Whatever it is, it's still not "associated" with the virus. It's "possibly" associated -- not definitely, not even probably. Per the article linked

I would drive by to see how they are doing with social distancing ... like only so many people at a time etc. If it looked like I could be in there without people getting too close, I’d go with my mask on. I live for thrift shops and I know they are going to be filled with so much new stuff (house cleaning during lockdown) that it would be hard to resist.

I live just outside of Philadelphia and our stay home measures are strict, the only place I’ve been in the past couple months is CVS.

What if the cows are sick, and that's why people at meat packing plants are getting sick around the world at the same time. Seems odd that there are meatpacking plant outbreaks in the USA, Canada and Australia simultaneously.
It isn't odd at all. These workers are in close proximity to one another, they often car pool and live in multi-generational households. This should be an eye-opener as to the less than desirable working conditions.
