IMO it seems that it is now just not being taken as seriously...again. There is a club in my neighborhood that meets regularly - their plan is to meet outside and drink and have snacks - now tell me how this will work? Masks and wine glasses? 6 feet away with masks? but they are all excited to be with each other after months of isolation at home. IMO it's just risky behavior to bring back to your own family - that's an example of what I am seeing now that was not an option while our stay at home order was in place - and yes, it will be more than 10. I will let you all know in a month how many have it from this "cluster". Keep in mind, half work outside the home in hospitals, retail, doctor offices, etc. I don't understand at all.

What could go wrong?

Italy to recruit army of 60,000 volunteers to enforce social distancing rules

"Italy wants to recruit an army of 60,000 volunteers to help enforce social distancing rules, amid fears that a second wave of infections could be looming.

The volunteers would not have any policing powers but would patrol piazzas, parks, playgrounds, markets, bar areas and beaches, asking people not to congregate in large groups.

They would be drawn from the ranks of the unemployed, those on income support and those who have been furloughed as a result of the economic crisis caused by the pandemic."

Burned your bra? :D
I burned my bra, staged sit ins, walkouts, book drops and protests. Our only weapons were commitment along with our big mouths, Ankh necklaces, POW bracelets, psychedelic posters, and flower power. A different time. If y’all get any extra time, you might want to check this out:

Hmmm, this post seems to be on my FB feed. Folks are again now discounting saying it affect only elderly ...and they comment on such.

What is a response to such? Is this article weighted/incorrect or ????

Would appreciate any input, @Henry2326 are you still here posting as you are the best at such!

The Most Important COVID-19 Statistic: 43% Of U.S. Deaths Are From 0.6% Of The Population

Interesting article and worth a look IMO. I have been hearing for some time that around half the deaths in NC are elderly nursing home residents. The majority of COVID deaths in my county have been at nursing homes and a meat processing facility, although I'm not certain about the exact numbers.

“We’re surging:” Alabama reports largest COVID-19 increases to date

"Alabama saw its largest single-day increase in new COVID-19 cases Monday, according to the state, as daily case counts continue an upward trend and hospitals across the state report increasing hospitalizations."

"The state saw its largest single-day increase in new cases Monday at 646 new cases, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s daily case totals, a little more than three weeks after the stay-at-home order expired on April 30 and two weeks after the state allowed restaurants and bars to reopen on May 11 with social-distancing restrictions."

"The number of cases confirmed per day has been rising since April 30, showing no sign of slowing. Over the past week, new cases rose faster than in 46 other states with no comparable increase in testing."

The "article" is from the Alabama Political Reporter - which I doubt qualifes as msm. And the "data" that the article is based on, not surprisingly, is compiled by volunteers with an agenda.

Totally unreliable. And that's generous, imo.

you tube video of Neil Diamond's PSA (public service announcement), singing "Sweet Caroline" to changed lyrics "Hands, washing hands . . "

He's not getting any younger, but then again, who is.

Iowa news today: May 27: Iowa reports 21 additional COVID-19 deaths, almost 600 more cases
595 new confirmed cases and 21 more have passed away for a total of 18,256 confirmed cases and 485 passed away.
The last time I checked this website Global COVID-19 Tracker & Interactive Charts | Real Time Updates & Digestable Information for Everyone | 1Point3Acres, 423 of the new confirmed cases were in Buena Vista county, so IMO they must have some kind of business outbreak there but none has been mentioned that I have found.

Doesn't appear to be unreliable to me. The data seem to be from reliable sources and the people quoted in the article are experts.

Took a lunch/WS break just now from yard cleanup. Have a small fire going for twigs and such. You’ve all inspired me. I’m burning a bra today, to protest the covid and it’s effect on the world. It will be just like back in the day. Except I’ll be the only one there. :D
